Deceptive

Bad experience. Salesman withheld pages of the Carfax report that indicated the used vehicle I bought was a commercial vehicle sold at auction. I only discovered this when I traded the vehicle and saw the withheld information. Had I known the information they hid from me, I either would not have bought the car or offered a lot less. Lessons learned by this long time Mazda fan: Don't trust Jim Ellis Mazda and pull your own Carfax report.

Academy Roofing

Their dishonesty will cost me for years to come

First, I am NOT a competitor. I am a real homeowner who tried to do business with this company. On friend's recommendation, Academy Roofing's Mike Hawn inspected my roof, told me I have some hail damage and that I should make an insurance claim. At a time when I was not home,he and the adjuster inspected the roof. The adjuster called me and said there was minimal damage, requiring replacement of only a few shingles. He said that Academy agreed with this assessment. Repair was well less than my insurance deductible. After claim was denied, Mr Hawn never called me to tell me my options regarding repair and Academy Roofing in Kennesaw ignored my two e mail requests for assistance with repairs. To make matters worse, because I made an insurance claim, even though it was denied, I was entered on the national insurance database as high risk and my insurance premium has gone up. I have since been informed that this happens a lot and roofers such as Academy well know this and simply don't care because all they want is the business of installing a new roof. These so called experts (Mr. Hawn's card gives him the title of "Educator") could have saved me the cost of higher premiums for years to come by telling me truthfully, upon first inspection, before I opened a claim, that a claim was unwarranted and would likely result in increased premiums.
