Dr. Halan is the first chiropractor I have ever used. I was having back problems that were only moderately helped by physical therapy and pain treatments, so I was looking for an alternative. I was skeptical at first, but I am now sold on chiropractic medicine. He worked with me at my comfort level, never pushing me to try therapies or treatments I was uncomfortable with and explained everything he was doing. Dr. Halan's care has given me the most relief I have experienced in the past four months. He listens more than any of my doctors ever did and really cares about his patients. The staff is friendly and welcoming, too. I highly recommend Halan Family Chiropractic -- even for the skeptic looking for alternatives.
Jimmy's Crew Did an Awesome Job!
We bought the coupon for the summer yard clean up, which we desperately needed! We have one of those huge yards that has gotten overwhelmingly out of control. Like many others, we had to reschedule several times, but what mattered was that they got out here and honored the coupon. Jimmy's crew was worth waiting for! The yards looks so much better with the overgrown trees and bushes trimmed. The pinestraw made such a difference. It was definitely worth the value. As for the wait, I think people need to realize two things: 1). scheduling is a management issue, not the crew's issue, and 2). companies may not be prepared for the great response they get from the coupons, so be patient.
Jimmy and his guys made the whole rescheduling worthwhile! I cannot recommend him enough!
Yet Another Disappointed Advance-Pay Coupon User
Warner Home Improvement missed their first appointment to clean our gutters: FAIL.
Warner Home Improvement missed their second appointment to clean our gutters: FAIL.
Warner Home Improvement missed their third appointment to clean our gutters: FAIL.
Warner Home Improvement makes no calls to cancel or reschedule: EPIC FAIL.
I assume the reason for issuing these types of coupons is to build up business, and it seems from my experience and that of others' all they are building up is bad reviews and frustration among potential future customers. I don't care if they can't clean my gutters the week I call; in fact, I don't even expect that. I do care about communication because this is the second time I have sat at home waiting on a no-show appointment. When will business owners learn that communication goes a long way in business? Just keep your client informed!
I gave Warner Home Improvements THREE chances and initiated ALL communication with them for no-shows and rescheduling. They are an EPIC FAIL as a company.

We were seriously considering using Lethal Rhythms as a DJ for our wedding, and we have no doubt they do a great job based on online reviews and the recommendation from our venue. However, when comparing DJs and trying to make a decision, their quote was more than two times the amount of my mid-range quote. I asked what I thought was a fair question: "Given that your quote is more than two times my other quote, can you tell me what sets you apart in terms of service and experience for that price?" The girl (and she acted like a girl, so I will call her one) replied, "We are for high-end clientele." That wasn't what I was expecting nor did it give me the information I wanted; it did, however, give me the information I needed to make a decision and save some money.
The price wasn't the issue; it was what we were getting for the price that we wanted clarified. If I am considering you for my event, you want to sell yourself in a positive way, and that comment was a complete turn off because we are not pretentious people.
Matt Osborne is an EXCELLENT wedding DJ!
I booked Matt Osborn with Spectrum Entertainment about six months before our wedding. He was amazing to work with! He took time to sit down with me and work on completing our event planner, and he followed up with me the week of the event. At the wedding, everything ran exactly as we planned, and our families and guests had a great time! He got people out on the floor dancing, which was exactly what we wanted. He was very professional to work with and proved to be a very low stress vendor to have. I could not have appreciated our experience with Spectrum Entertainment any more!
Intrigue offers the experience of a high-end salon in the suburbs! They also offer stylists at different experience and price levels, and before someone can become a stylist there, they have to apprentice for several months with more experienced stylist. They track your color history, so that it is easy to replicate or change your color. I love my stylist Liz Wilson! She understands curly hair and knows my limits as a client and respects those when styling my hair. I have been going to them for years and highly recommend Intrigue in general and Liz in particular!
I Thought I Had a Good Vet
I had been taking both my dogs here for years, and their last visit was in March. Two months after that visit with no indication, I ended up at Georgia Veterinary Specialist late one night with my dog. It turns out she had cancer that had caused blood vessels to burst and bleed into her stomach. I had to unexpectedly put her to sleep. Now, less than two months after that, I took my other dog to a different vet due to a lump. The vets at Cumberland Animal Clinic had treated it topically and never mentioned any need to explore it further. The new vet recommended surgical removal and biopsy. Good thing. Turns out it is a Grade 1 mast cell tumor, and he has been referred to an oncologist for follow up. Cancer in two dogs and neither instance was pursued here. We trust our vets to look for and pursue treatment for issues in our animals because we do not have that education and background. My vet failed two of my dogs and me. My dog now has a new vet.
GVS Made a Bad Experience Bearable
I took my senior dog to GVS for what I thought was just to humor myself because she didn't seem to be acting like herself. I had to wait when getting there for 20 minutes, but they kept me posted from the onset of the doctor's status. When the Dr. Renner came in, she was great in listening to my concerns. Upon examining Sophie, she told me how she wanted to proceed and the cost. I authorized the blood work, and Dr. Renner came to talk with us. To make a long story short, Sophie was bleeding into her stomach from what was most likely cancer, and I had to make the hard decision to put her down. I felt a tremendous amount of guilt, and Dr. Renner was very patient with me, even talking to my father on the phone and allowing me space and time. Within 24 hours, I unexpectedly received a card from Dr. Renner with Sohpie's paw print and a kind message that truly brought me much comfort during a hard time. I look at the card frequently. Dr. Renner's bedside manner was impressive, as was the follow up. While I hated to have to take my beloved friend into GVS given the outcome, Dr. Renner made this bad experience bearable.
