FOUR STRIKES AND YOU'RE OUT!
Each visit had become progressively worse with around 18 months passing between the third and fourth visit this evening. We were the earliest diners and arrived with the restaurant empty. After ordering, the time between appetizer and salad was unreasonably too long. The crab cakes were dry, under seasoned and bland. The corn garnish looked previously frozen and colorless. After over ONE HOUR AND A HALF had passed between being seated and no entree, I sent my wife to the car and notified our server we would need our food boxed if it was even ready to be plated. Around five more minutes before the food was at the window and then longer to box and pay the bill. Side note: I paid with a gift card and was told the tip wasn't able to be applied to the GC and that I needed cash for a tip. I asked the server to break a twenty and felt it was a little ambitious of the server to bring two tens. (assuming I would be leaving a ten equal to a 20% tip) Now, how was the food you ask? The ride home was less than five minutes so that didn't play a part in the further disappointment. We ordered a burger and a salmon entree. (which makes me wonder why two simple dishes with no other orders called in took over an hour and a half) The salmon was white, need I say more? The garlic mashed potatoes were more like cream of potato soup and the rice pilaf was soggy rather than light and fluffy. I should have never given this restaurant a second chance, never mind a fourth.
