Laughable

As soon as I walked in (to the empty store) the lady mumbled something about being cranky. I was looking at chemicals and needed some advice for a tub I already had. she just dismissed every question I started to ask. She couldn't be bothered. I finally walked out and used the experience to teach my 9yr old how NOT to run a business.

Good news is they were going to waive the $49 trip charge. Bad news is they never showed up. Wasted morning.

Best Around

Been going to scott and co. for years. this last time I came in with a check engine light on. the code read all 6 cylinders were misfiring. time for a tune-up. he said there could also be a problem with one of the fuel injectors and he wanted to drive it a bit to isolate the bad injector instead of changing the lot of 'em. he never found a bad injector and just did the tune up as promised. he even took care of some vibration in the steering wheel. any mechanic could very easily had said "yes, there's a bad injector and it (they) need to be replaced". not scott. I really trust him with my cars. you should too.

Not my cup of tea

Came out for a free estimate. Checked a problem I thought I was having and said it was normal, no fix needed (which has been verified). I then asked him about a secondary issue. He looked at the problem and said "oh yeah, we should do this and this...." He wrote up an estimate for over $400 which seemed a bit high to this layperson (subsequent bids have been below $150). The kicker was after he left, my wife told me she had already brought up the secondary issue to him before I arrived and the tech seemed unfazed. Why the change of heart once I got there? I don't think they're bad or cheats or anything, just perhaps a bit expensive and absent-minded? ***my reply to their reply*** the tech only made 1 trip to the house. he spoke with my wife until I got there a few minutes later. there was no 2nd trip or things he didn't notice the 1st time around. your reply is factually incorrect and deflects my original criticism. I hope that you have me confused with someone else and this is not intentional.

WOW!

called based on kudzu ratings. he came out a couple days later for a free peek at some problems. addressed every concern I had and basically told me there was no rush to fix anything. If I wanted the work done, it would basically be an hour of labor and a $10 part. This was less then half of another quote I got. haven't pulled the trigger yet, but he spent about 1/2 hour of his time tinkering around with stuff and upon talking to him further, it seems he is the go-to guy for companies around atlanta too. great guy. you can tell he cares about his reputation. call him!

Great!

Had tried 2 other times with 2 other companies to refi. Wasn't real sure about trying a 3rd time but I'm glad I did. Robin was quick, concise, courteous, and above all, provided FANTASTIC communication through the whole process. I recommend him completely. And that's saying something coming from me......
