Grenade! Buyer Beware!

the rave reviews posted on this site for this place are truly a joke. i'm a big fan of the daily deals sites, and this particular establishment is frequently featured on one of them as having what sounds like great specials...that is if you can actually GET the service you paid for! i scheduled an appointment for a massage and facial after purchasing that as a part of the deal offering. i get to my appointment, and of course it was THEN that they felt it appropriate to tell me 'oh yea, we have no aesthician (sp?)--we're trying to hire a new one'. WTH, you guys couldn't have told me that when I scheduled my appointment? Or if not then, how about the day before my apptmt when you called me to confirm my time for a facial? So I tried to be reasonable and called back several times in the weeks following to followup--they never returned my call to offer a replacement service. Plus the place is kind of dirty--the staff at the front was very polite, but after having talked to the manager, I think their poor service issues are clearly a bi-product of poor management. it looks like they've peppered some other site with a bunch of raving reviews (i seem them when they are featured on that one daily deals site)--but trust me, you don't want to patronize this place.

Real customer, Real review

i'm giving credit where credit is due. i do spa days often, and have tried several different spas around town. this one is definitely in the top 2 for cleanliness (it looks like something you'd see in a resort). plus the staff is very professional, customer-oriented, and the masseuse who worked my back was INCREDIBLE! i hate i can't remember his name, but he knew what he was doing and i didn't feel uncomfortable at any point i was initially hesitant about having a man do it, but i'm so glad i got over that bc he was terrific and very professional.

Ok but not great

Pros- Best price I could find for the number of rooms. Cons- He didn't do what he said he would do for the price in some of the rooms (with the trim, etc.). He ended up rushing thru the job but then again, for the time he spent and the money I paid, it was OK,not great, not the worst either. It was a lil messy compared to other painters I've used in the past (not extremely messy, but there were some places where I had to wipe off paint from furniture and floors afterward). But for the money, he did a decent job. Most places I called charged twice as much for the same number of rooms. There's just a few places that I pass by in the halls that make me cringe every time I see them.
