Reinforced Faith in Good People
When my 2002 Honda CR-V (187k+ miles) began to have an issue with the transmission, I dreaded what the potential problems could be. I had received a recommendation from a friend for Mr. Transmission on Cobb Parkway and took it to them for a diagnosis. The problem with the car was that the "D" shifter light was flashing. This coincided with very rough shifting and an inability of the transmission to shift into overdrive. I could see the bill running into the thousands for what had been an almost trouble free car to date. I arrived at their facility at ~3:00 PM and talked to Mark McGregor (Center Manager), who greeted me promptly. I explained the issues and he offered that there would be no check-out charge for determining the problem, and that he thought they could get a preliminary diagnosis before they closed at 5:00 PM.
Later that afternoon, Mark relayed that their technician had found that a wire going to the transmission had been broken by a small varmint attack; furthermore, that they would have a more complete picture in the morning. The next morning, Mark called me to say that the wire had been repaired, the car road tested and was ready to pick-up. The charge would only be one labor hour ($95.00). So, not only did they treat me with respect, but demonstrated professionalism, integrity and honesty. As a result, they have earned my permanent business for this type of repair. I canít recommend them enough.
