Unbeatable

I highly recommend AMAC. I've worked with Josh E. twice, once for a refinance and once for a home purchase, and both times he's come through with the lowest rate (APR), was the most upfront about fees, and was able to close with no last-minute changes or delays. If you're looking to refinance or buy, I bet you will save at least a thousand dollars in settlement costs and at least half a percentage point in your rate. Thanks again, Josh!

Thanks!

My Kenmore washing machine decided to stop draining its dirty water. Eric came over a day after I made the appointment and within minutes discovered the safety switch was busted. Because the total cost to replace the switch was too expensive for me, Eric offered to just charge labor (~$100) to fix the washer without replacing the switch. Eric was in and out of my place within twenty minutes, and unlike Always Affordable, All Area was actually affordable. Thanks to Eric and All Area for being so flexible and friendly when I was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Unbeatable service.

On two occasions I had a serious bug issue, and both times I called GAPestPro/Zone Pest Solutions. I spoke to Brian Donn both times and always received his undivided attention as if there were no other clients currently needing assistance. Each time, he was honest and didn't send technicians over if he thought I could do it myself and save money, and each time he was right. With just a trip or two to Home Depot to pick up the necessary chemicals, I was relieved of nuisance insects. A business that doesn't make money unless it's providing the customer a real service. Thanks so much for doing business the right way!

Simple and quick fix for a hefty price

My GE refrigerator was clicking for a consistent hour or two each day. Always Affordable showed up for their appointment after I called to remind them after their serviceman forgot. Tim arrived, was very nice and apologized for not calling to set up a time. He assessed the problem in 10 minutes, agreed that it was the control panel (which was consistent with what I found online), got the replacement part from his van, and installed it in 5-10 minutes. Always Affordable charged me $262, which Tim said broke out into ~$150 for the part (which I found online for $120), $90 for labor (which for 15-20 minutes of work is really steep), and tax. I regret paying Always Affordable to fix something I should've fixed myself, but I suppose this is the problem with repairs in general. Perhaps Tim was just too good and too efficient at his job! Though I believe Always Affordable to be honest and hardworking, I will most likely not contact then again as the value did not live up to the name. Edit 2pm 3/15/2011 - A manager called within minutes to explain that they make no profit on the part, and the $90 "labor" fee is actually a $65 trip charge and $25 labor. He said the trip charge is always said in advance, even though I told him the receptionist didn't on two opportunities, Tim didn't, and it's nowhere listed on their website. Bright side: Good to see that reviews matter to them.
