Inconsistent Experience
We used LV Plumbing three times. The first time was a joy. The plumber was quick, professional and fairly priced. The second time ... a different story. Frankly, I felt like I was getting ripped off. The guy tried to bill me for 2 plumbers for what was clearly a one man job. When I called him on it, he backed down. I ended up speaking to a supervisor who came out the next morning and made sure everything was done right and walked me through the actual pricing. He explained that the guy I had dealt with was new and had misunderstood their pricing policies. We shook hands and all was well. We called them out a third time for a simple job which went off with out incident. They came to us highly recommended and the end result was fine.

After sales service is outstanding!
We bought two new properties from Pulte. In both cases, the after-sales support was outstanding. We can be demanding customers and Pulte has never once let us down. The homes are well built and have excellent energy ratings. They cost a bit more than their peers, but you'll make that money back in energy savings and dedicated after-sales support.

Run away. Run very far away.
We used ADC to install a medallion and a faux stone wall. The medallion was installed by subcontractors and was fine ... until the owner decided to grout it himself and misaligned the tiles. Then, he installed the faux stone in the kitchen. He sealed our electric outlets with grout, poured grout down our sink and did the worse stone/grout installation I have ever seen. Then, they refused to stand by their work and fix it, despite our giving them many chances to do so. In the end, the owner became verbally abusive on the phone. We filed BBB and Contractor Board reports. ADC was prosecuted for practicing without a license. We are currently having all ADC work torn out (at our expense) and completely redone.

Outstanding!
CC was great. I wish we had used them before we moved into the house. In a town where basements are rare and space is a premium, CC gave us so much more functional space. The CC staff was on-time, professional and courteous. CC is not always the cheapest solution, but I think it is the best by far.

Hands Down ... The Best
We used Chief for stamped concrete on two properties. the work was done in the winter and Chief had to work around other contractors on the job sites. Stamped concrete was new territory for me and I must admit that I was a nervous customer. Matt Walker was always very professional and patient with my questions. Chief never rushed and when they came in to work on a given phase, their crews worked like gangbusters. Though it took a little more time than expected, the result is gorgeous. Chief is not the cheapest concrete contractor in town, but they are absolutely the best.

Top Notch!
I am in the tech industry and have built 40+ computers from scratch along with several small networks. However, work now demands that I farm out PC repairs because I just do not have time to do it myself. I've used Hot Link four times now and every time they've been prompt, fairly priced and highly competent. I'll never use anyone else.

Outstanding, Professional Service
My wife and I have used Dan Arcotta for all the architectural painting in both of our properties in Vegas. Dan and his crew are always on-time, professional and fairly priced. In a town where it is important to screen your contractors, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better painter.

Las Vegas Pools & Spas

Great Portfolio. Terrible Service
We got bids from 20 different pool builders and chose LV Pools and Spas. We contracted them to build a "spool" (spa/pool) for us. We signed the paperwork and gave them a $1000 down payment. When it came time to get engineering docs for HOA approval, they said they were not sure they could EVEN build our pool. To be fair, we had unique site access issues. However, this was something I expected them to sort out before they signed a contract with us.
After further reviewing the plan, they elected to remove themselves from the project and attempted to keep our down payment. It took 5 calls and three visits to finally speak to someone reasonable who made arrangements to get our down payment back. They could nothing about the 3 month delay they caused in finishing our yard.

OK, Nothing Special.
We used Specialty Tile to redo our stairs and landing. The installation took 3 days longer than the sales rep promised. I get the feeling that they sub a lot of work out to college students, not tile pros. We are OK with the final result, but can't help the feeling that we'd have gotten better service and results elsewhere.

Weak and Expensive
I've used Friendly Computers three times. Each time was an emergency. In each case, the work was OK, but not brilliant. They kept my machine longer than they promised and the pricing was far to expensive for the service delivered. I much prefer Hot Links Data.
