Bang for your Buck
This is a GREAT standard care veterinary service. I have a rescue and I use them for shots, hw testing, altering, boarding, minor medical issues (allergies, etc.) I do not use them for major medical - diagnostics or treatment - surgeries, thyroid, cancer, heart, stomach, and other illnesses but ONLY because they have just one vet and I don't think they have the life-saving equipment that larger vets have should a pet expire during anesthesia (my biggest fear) - light anesthesia for spay/neuter or dental procedures is fine. I don't use them for my very very senior animals because their needs are extremely specialized. BUT THAT IS JUST ME - MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE and is no reflection on their actual ability or quality of care. I can't speak to what I've never done - just tell you why I choose not to.
They can seem a bit "country" but I think it's because they are not very high tech or sophisticated but that is how they control the costs - and it is absolutely no reflection on the quality of care your pet receives - you will not find a better, more reasonable veterinary service in the metro area. Nice people, kind to animals, courteous and respectful to pet guardians, five stars.
All your Lawyer Nightmares come True
DO YOUR HOMEWORK ON THIS LAWYER - You will pay a consultation fee followed by a HUGE, frequently 10K retainer and his wife (a NON lawyer who is beyond rude) will sit in on every meeting, interview and some depositions) laying the foundation for an argument that what you say is NOT confidential. THEN he will forget you - for months - then call you back and ask for MORE MONEY TO PROCEED - why in the world local reporter Richard Belcher keeps putting this thieving liar on TV is BEYOND ME!!! But - don't take my word for it!!! His egregious behavior is a matter of public record, do your homework before you spend your money - There are a PLETHORA of cases against him. In Crowell v. Katz in January 2009 (State court case no. 07-a-11852-3)Judge Irma Glover SAYS IT ALL exact quote from her order is: Although defendant's negligence, even gross negligence, would not support an award of punitive damages, defendant's deceitfulness, untruthfulness and misleading of plaintiff following dismissal of plaintiffs federal case was intentional, egregious, and showed an entire want of care creating a presumption of a conscious disregard of the consequences of his actions. Plaintiff is entitled to an award of $5,000 in punitive damages for this misconduct. BUYER BEWARE!!!! Peace in a Sea of Sorrow
DPC off Peachtree has cremated enough of my pets to create a nuclear winter when we are all combined and scattered at MY passing. I have a rescue and they have lovingly, individually and compassionately cremated everything from my tiny 9 lb cat Cooter (Kitty Coo) to my beloved giant Mastiff (Booda - for whom they had to send an "hearst" because he was close to 100 lbs).
The staff has cried with me, WITH me, counseled me, consoled me, they have even collected money among themselves when I was SO BROKE from putting money into rescued dogs that I did not think I could scrape together enough to cremate my OWN beloved forever dog - they made up the balance. Loving, kind, warm, compassionate and when you get your cremains back, you KNOW IT IS YOUR BELOVED PET - they cremate one at a time in an atmosphere of silent prayerful respect.
There are not enough good words. At a time so painful that we cannot breathe and don't think we can put one foot in front of the other walking in a daze of pain, drowning in our darkest sorrow - they will lift you up - talk to you, hug you, let you know that your love was what your pet lived for and the pain is normal and worth it to have had those years of love. I love them.
I have the honor and joy of having some 8 cremain boxes here - and reflect over them often - looking at their photos - I talk to them, and I know in the stillness of the night they walk the halls they loved so much because I brought them HOME.
NO NEW CLIENTS AS OF 1/2006
To Petfan and Sheilars, I agree that the staff can be very abrupt - I too have seen them turn someone down without referring them to someone in the area and with little or no compassion for their plight and I find it peculiar. They should keep a list of all local vets who ARE accepting new patients - not as a recommendation and maybe with a disclaimer but for information purposes and should ALWAYS inform callers - ALWAYS. The vet techs and veternarians are outstanding and have warm concerned demeanors, the front desk, not so warm and could use some compassion 101- and this coming from a long time client - I have a rescue and Drs. Nathan and Aaron treat all my personal pets and all my rescues - I've run probably 40 plus animals through their facility in the 4 years I've been a client, for everything from spaying to shots to cancer surgery to exploratory surgery to mange -- cats and dogs, young and old. They are outstanding but unfortunately, even I have called to ask about the cost of something and not identified myself and they have given me the price, the address and not even bothered to tell me they are not taking new patients -- NO KIDDING. Were I not a patient, I would have driven almost 40 miles only to be turned away. It is unfortunate for an office and staff that is in every other regard the best of the best. They actually should not even be on Kudzu and not advertising since anyone who goes there already knows them.
Fast, friendly, professional, a little high, but considering what I've gone through with other appliance repairmen, probably worth the extra cost. New parts, did a good job and he loved my dogs - chastised me for putting them away. Gotta love that!!!
