Icing on the Cake

Ernesto and his crew are easy to work with. He and his crew repaired two community entryway structures that were part of a larger project including landscaping and lighting done by other contractors. His work is the icing on the cake and was the most important since it was old, ugly, run down brick and synthetic stucco which was the first thing you see as you enter the community. We were considered tearing down the structures and starting over before talking with Ernesto. I’m over simplifying this but his crew ground out and replaced all of the mortar between the bricks since it was falling out and damaged in several areas anyway and rebuilt the ugly caps and coping which was dried out and cracked. I expected it to look better, but not better than new condition! Several people said they stopped and stared for a few minutes as they drove in. The complements continue. During the planning process he answered all of my questions quickly and directly and helped us during the material selection process. He and his crew were able to meet our needs completely, efficiently and within budget. They did everything they said they would do and more and I would recommend them to anyone. Distinctive handled it all with integrity

Our project consisted of adding a bonus room in the unused open space above in our two story great room. We’ve been using the room for almost two years since Mark Buelow and the Distinctive team completed our addition and the project turned out just as we planned. It has been wonderful and we would definitely work with Distinctive again. The due diligence process started with interviewing six different companies before deciding to work with Distinctive. During the initial site visit and design process, Mark listened intently. He never tried to add or up-sell a kitchen remodel or addition into the scope like some of the other remodelers we consulted with. He stayed focused and within the scope of our needs. Only after we reviewed our entire project did he make suggestions that he felt wouldn’t benefit or fit the project. Our Project Manager, Kane, was professional and ensured that the scheduling of craftsman was managed, that the work spaces were kept orderly and there wasn’t any chaos. Mark was always quick to respond to any question that came up. Since the entire project was managed by Distinctive, everything was managed superbly. The process was methodical and organized. We had a Gant chart to follow the work schedule that charted the entire process and everything occurred as expected. In the one case that could have caused a conflict with scheduling, Kane jumped right in and lost no time. I highly recommend the Distinctive team and Mark Buelow.
