Bug Busters USA

bait stations not maintained properly

In 2006, we paid BugbusterUSA out of Stockbrigde $600 to have 21 termite bait stations installed. I have not been happy with them for several years. After they installed the stations, they would inspect them every 3 months at an annual rate of $325. About two years ago they changed there inspection schedule to every 4 months, but did not change the $325/ yr rate. They claimed it was due to the manufacturers recommendation. I was seldom here when the inspections were done, but would get a printout. When i was not here, the inspections would take 10-15 minutes average. When I was here and walked around with the technician to ensure that all the stations were checked, it would take at least 20 minutes. I know when i was not here some of the stations were missed. On the last inspection in December, we could not find two of the bait stations. The technician told me he would write up a work order to have new ones installed. Four months later, no one ever came to install them. I decided to cancel the service and take care of the inspections myself as I am sure of my quality control. I notified Bugbusters and they informed me that they would come get their bait stations. I decided to pull them all out. What I found was that none of the bait stations had the wood product that goes under the bait cartridge. THe stations were not being maintained appropriately leaving the customer with a false sense of security.

great realtor low cost

Michael listed our home in Dec which is a bad time to sell. We received an offer within 2 weeks. We thought it was a bad offer, but Michael explained that it was a good first offer. We told him our bottom line and he negotiated a price above it. He is very proficient in contracts. He spotted several items in the offer that would delay the process or give the buyer an "out". He made certain that they were clarified. We closed on the home yesterday 1/22/14- 6 weeks from listing to closing. Michael charged 1% commission which is why we sought him out. However, he gives the service of a full price broker. We will be contacting him to sell a rental property we own.

Mighty Clean Home

got rid of pet hair

We just purchased a new home that had gone through foreclosure. It was pretty dirty-pet hair on baseboards, fridge dirty, etc. We purchased a move in clean. Three crew members showed up. They asked what my particular concerns were. I said the previous owners had pets and I am allergic and would they pay special attention to the baseboards. They did a thorough cleaning and the baseboards were sparkling white. They hand washed them. They wet wiped all the cupboards. There was no sign of pets when they left. I have never used a home cleaning service prior to this, but was extremely pleased with the quality of the work.

great price and service on granite

We were looking for new granite for our bathroom cabinets. We got quotes from 2 vendors including a big box store. We saw Metro Cabinet and Granite's sign on the freeway, called and stopped into their shop. Jason was great. He measured, gave us a quote and got the tops installed within 2 weeks. His price was well below the other quotes. It was nice to find a local business with great price and service

Greenlee Plumbing

not their finest work

Called Greenlee regarding front yard leak at townhome. Was told cost would be 250 if they could repair the line 550 if they had to replace. They did not need to see to give estimate, they do this all the time. The best comment is that they honored the price (although they wanted to charge more). They spent two days (5hrs first day, 3 second day). They attempted to drill from my basement to the front of the house. They said they got through, but could not find the hole. They tunneled under my front step and driveway looking for the hole, complaining that the water was running and kept filling the hole (said they had turned water off). They said they had never come across this problem before. He finally told me that he kept getting gravel from the hole at which point I told him he had drilled to the center of the front porch. I had asked much earlier where he was aiming for, pointing out how deep the step was. Finally he said he would run the line to the garage water line access which we agreed to. He then ran the flexible outdoor line surrounded by insulation across the garage door and along the baseboard. He attached it with hose clamps. It looks like ****. I guess if I had agreed to pay more he might have used indoor pipe and fittings so it looked like a regularly plumbing job. Also the second day the water was no longer running ( I truly think they had not turned it off the first day).
