What place did you guys go to?
My dog was getting into the trash, was not very well house broken, and was jumping on people to the point where her sweet personality wasn't the first thing that came to mind. So, my family decided to try Manís Best friend. My wife, two daughters and I met with Luke, the manager, to outline our concerns. Luke was very nice and seemed to value out wants highly. I then paid $1400 for a week's stay for the dog to be trained. When we received our dog a week later, she had been trained to sit, stay and heel. None, not one, of our concerns had been addressed by her trainer. A trainer, I might add, that was let go the day after we picked up the dog. When I expressed my disappointment to Luke, he said that our dog needed to begin a long and weekly series of trainings (at additional cost) to achieve the results we wanted. I, then, had enough. If we were going to have to retrain our dog to accomplish our goals, I wanted our money back. Luke refused. Long story short? After 5 months, I am still out $1400, my dog still gets into the trash, and Luke still refuses to see that he didnít live up to the contract we agreed upon. They may do a good job in kenneling dogs, but their training services leave much to be desired.
