Knows his stuff and has helped me many times
I sent my parents to Dr. Gilenson (aka "Dr. G") after a neighbor recommended him. They really liked him, and so when I had issues with my back he was my first thought. That was several years ago. He's more than a chiropractor - He knows so much about the body and how joints and ligaments and tendons connect and impact each other that he can tell what's wrong before I even mention it. I've had issues with my back from lifting something too heavy and one visit to him helped so much. I tore my left quad running and my legs and hips got all out of whack trying to compensate. He was able to help me get back to almost pre-injury form. I had issues with my mid back and ribs and he targeted the issue and worked on it a few times and I was better. Most recently, I tore both Achilles tendons playing tennis and I chose to go to him for rehab. He worked with tools using the Graston technique to break up the adhesions (like scar tissue) to force the tissue to grow back in a healthy form, restoring my mobility and flexibility. (By the way, Graston hurts, but when you can't walk without pain it's worth it.) He simultaneously worked on my fascia (under each foot) to relieve related pain. He understands the relationship between symptoms and has been doing this for almost 25 years. I trust him, and even skeptics I've sent his way have gotten relief. He's a good man, too. Really just wants to help people, and educate them on preventative maintenance. Highly recommend him!
