Unbelievable--Patients Come First!

Dr. Street delivered my son in August and provided all of our prenatal care. She has an amazing hands-on approach to caring for her patients. She carefully watched my pregnancy progress and acted as a trusted advisor for all questions and concerns. During labor she ensured there were orders in place ahead of time for any medications/epidural that I may need, allowing me to control how much or how little pain treatment I wanted without undue delay. In doing so, she stuck by her commitment to keep the process as pain-free and comfortable as possible. She did the same for my entire hospital stay and recovery. I am very petite and my son was rather large--she carefully monitored his growth and allowed me to be induced early to prevent problems. The doctors in this practice deliver 90% of their own patients, so I was not concerned that the face in the delivery room might be a stranger. I recommend her to everyone, and several friends/family members have gone to her with equally positive experiences.

Money Grubbing Quacks

Every time I walk in the door I get referred somewhere else for answers or treatment (what am I paying them for)! They bill my insurance company for five separate office visits for every time I come in (asking me if Zantac was working got me billed $55 for a reflux diagnosis made two months prior--it was a yes/no question!), but I never see doctor for more than five minutes. I signed in on time for last visit and yet an hour later was still waiting when they called my cell phone to find out if I remembered my appointment. Dr. has yet to answer all of my questions, and the ones he does answer are vague and remarkably still confusing. He never gives me an explanation for anything--his diagnosis usually includes a prescription but no reason for the problem. I never get a full answer of how to administer the meds--how long, till the bottle is gone or until the symptoms clear? To diagnose reflux, I had to take my three-month old for an UPPER GI SERIES at Children's Healthcare, including drinking barium, to the tune of $1000 (not covered by insurance). All my friends' said their doctors said to try the meds first and then do screening if problem remained. We changed doctors, and after reading our records, we were told there was no explanation for a lot of Town Lake's recommendations. They use a screening process called PEDS that is dangerous and useless (my perfectly normal son--confirmed by his new doctor--was labeled Track A and likely disabled. Stay away from these guys
