Meadows Electrical Contractors

Very pleasant, very professional

Meadows came out as the assignee for an AHS warranty call which turned out not to be covered. Our electrical panel had been hit with either a surge or lightning which caused a faulty flow of electricity into the house. Mr. Meadows was able to get us working temporarily and quoted us a fair price for the replacement of the box with new breakers. We made arrangements and had him come out. He was willing to do the work on a Saturday for no extra charge and had the full power restored in under three hours. Both he and his assistant were very professional, cleaned the work area, and went above and beyond what was expected. Would recommended them and use them again!!!

Awful AHS RIPOFF -- BEWARE!

They are affiliated with American Home Shield, so beware there. AHS used to be good but of late has become full of ripoff extortionists and A-Total Plumbing is no exception. They were sent to our house to repair/replace a hot water heater, then contrived other issues that "must" be done to bring the system "up to code" in order for AHS to do the work. Theses charges totalled $940 for which they offered us a "value rate" of $857! For a fully covered hot water heater replacement. A PRV (they wanted to install one for $369) was already on the system and they claimed the water pressure was 120psi. Bought my own tester -- water pressure was barely 80. PRV cost is about $40, but they wanted $329 to undo two fittings and pop it in place. Expansion tank for HWH may or may not have been code, but again a $40 part they wanted $253 to install. They claimed they needed to replace the CPVC to the HWH with copper and only copper -- for $175. And then dispose of the HWH for $60. My trash company will take the HWH for free. My wife kicked them out and rightly so. I called Jackie J. back to discuss these items and informed him we'd do them and he could just come back and do what he was hired to do -- he made up a story about AHS requiring them to make those changes. BS! Went to Lowes, got my own HWH and also did all of their $900 in repairs for $70. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!
