I purchased a pastrami sandwich from 111mlk 1/30/08. It was the worst in the whole world. I should have known i was in trouble when I saw from the corner of my eye a big hunk of boars head meat being removed from the fridge. I was asked if i wanted the pastrami steamed, i said yeah. What i received was a fairly flat sandwich with the texture and taste of fried beef bologna. I recently ordered pastrami from Carnegie in NY. If it was what is considered genuine(it was very good)then 111 mlk's sandwich is as far from this as east from west. The 1/4 side pickle(not 1/2)was the same as any publix brand jar unrefrigerated pickle. I was only able to eat half the sandwich. If you desire a decent NY style deli experience in ATL this is not it. I'll keep looking and let you know if i find it.>

111 MLK is one of my favorite places to eat. Owned by a great family the food really shines. I recommed the Oh Vey, the Turkey Timothy or Muffaletta. Those are my personal favorites. Don't let the tatoos fool you. The nicest people you will want to meet.
