I've Purchased several items from TDH but this last transaction, or lack thereof, was unbelievably frustrating. I tried to purchase items on the website but was not able to because it's not set up yet. I emailed to confirm availability and put a hold on the item until their next open day. Email received acknowledged and item availability confirmed. We arrive to pick up items only to find out they were never there on site only on the website. Terrible, horrible, awfull! TDH has some good stuff but their management can't organize a one car parade. Beware!

We were celebrating a birthday with a group of 14 people. When first seated the manager explained that we would need to give up our table by 8pm, which was ridiculous given that we were seated at 6:30pm and had a party of 14. We refused to do so, but this was a sign of the disappointment to come. The service was absolutely terrible! Our server was unfriendly, distracted, inattentive, and very disrespectful. He rarely if ever checked on our party to see if we needed anything, and when we did ask for something he was visibly irritated at our requests. The food was equally disappointing and was definitely not worth the prices listed. When you pay a premium for anything you expect something amazing for your money, but at 4th and Swift this is not the case. The portions were small, the presentation lacking, and the flavors were something to be desired. To top off this horrendous evening, the restaurant refused to split the bill, which is something that no restaurant has ever done, especially when the bill is $1,000+. In fact, the server said and did everything possible to prevent us from doing so. The manager was just as rude as the server and offered zero solution to the problem. Instead of 14 happy customers, there are now 14 people that will never come to 4th and Swift again and will go out of their way to never recommend it to any of their friends or family.

You won't find any other cuisine in Atlanta like this. If the ingredients aren't fresh, it's not on the menu. Menu's change daily for the most part. Food is complicated and a lot of detail is put into the preparation. Ambiance level is fantastic. I send all my friends here, and I dine here as often as I can. Staff is amazingly friendly, kind and helpful. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

The ambiance of the restaurant was very warm and inviting at first glance. We were celebrating birthdays for two friends and the party consisted of 15 people. We were asked to wait until the entire party arrived before being seated, which is not uncommon, but it seemed the hostess was clueless as to tell us what to do until then. We ended up standing by the entrance and kind of causing an obstruction until one of us decided we should go sit in the bar area. The server wasn't particularly friendly or gracious. Whenever we asked for something he barely acknowledged us and would seem irritated when we reminded him. The food was unimpressive. Salads were small and we could see they were trying for an exotic twist but it just didn't work. Our portions were small. It was very embarrassing for the honorees because everyone was noticeably dissatisfied. The sweet potato side was a hit at my table. At the end of a very long evening (7:30pm-10:00pm), they wouldn't split the bill which is also common practice, but they didn't tell us up front and actually seemed to make up a reason to not to do it. The manager offered no resolution. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

First -- 4th and Swift is an excellent facility. It is an old dairy, I think, that has been beautifully converted into a restaurant space. Entrees and appetizers were perfect. I had the duck and it was amazing. Drinks (berry cocktail) was terrible. Stick to wine or beer. The S'mores dessert was a bit of a bad joke. I was told it was a s'more "deconstructed" but it was really just a bad attempt at Southern kitsch. The restaurant has valet parking, which can be annoying, but the neighborhood is grim (North Avenue), so it's nice to have someone watch your car.

Excellent menu - love the seasonal and the daily choices but the Three Little Pigs is by far the best thing there! The waitstaff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is nice but can get a little noisy. Easy to find and good parking.

Jay Swift has hit a home run with his own place.. We have been there several times and have liked everything on the menu. If you like pork, try the three little pigs with mac and cheese, it is out of this world!Again can't miss if you want great food and service.
