We recycle our wood chips
We loved working with the guys at 770-Aroborist. We hired them for a difficult job to cut down a very tall, dead tree in our small, hilly back yard. They did an awesome job and educated us about... the other trees in our yard, as well. Highly recommend!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I called Mark about a problem tree in my back yard. We spent nearly an hour on the phone going over the pros and cons of removing the tree, and he even asked for a few videos so that he could "see"... the tree in question. Mark went above and beyond with his evaluation, and gave me honest, thoughtful advice about how to proceed.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

We live in Aiken S.C. and had quite a bit of damage due to the ice storm. Our Hickory Nut tree had some serious hangers that could have fallen anytime and caused severe damage. We also had damage to two river birch. Mark and his crew were very responsive to our call, coming out the same day to give an estimate. The work was completed the next day. We found all of the crew members to be very professional, courteous and reliable. The work that was required on the hickory tree was dangerous and it was accomplished with no issues. The yard was left clean and free of debris. We would highly recommend this company to everyone.

We had two big trees (90+ ft) come down during all the rains a couple of weeks ago -- one of which fell on our house. Mark came out right away and assessed the job. He even helped me talk to the insurance company to explain what needed to be done. His team came out the very next day. We had them take out some other trees while they were there. I was very impressed with how efficient and professional his team was. They especially did a very good job of cleaning up after themselves. I would recommend 1-800-Tree-Expert to anyone!

Redworlfe, Thanks for the review. Really glad to see your posting. I wondered if you would post, but true to your word you did! Tony told me he left a few extra pieces of fire wood foryou to enjoy this winter. Thanks again for posting!
Mark and his crew removed a very large, dying oak tree for me today. I appreciated the advance consultation on the type of "collateral damage" to expect to another nearby tree and to the grass (from the bobcat). I was able to make an informed decision to proceed, and the crew bent over backwards to minimize the damage, which turned out to be quite acceptable. The nearby tree was barely touched (impacted branches were pruned), and the grass looks like it should recover pretty soon. Their now famous reputation for clean up continues to be earned. I love working with those all too rare contractors who truly care about customer satisfaction. 1-800-tree-experts is one such contractor.

brianfeinberg, Thanks for posting. When I asked you if you would remember to write the review this afternoon, you looked me in the eye and told me "you have my word". AND YOU KEPT IT !!! THANKS!!!! As a note to the readers of this post, I took a video of Brian's lawn. He really had "worst case scenario" with his grass, and it still came out really well. I shot a video of the results that can be seen on youtube. Please contact me for the link. We love to show off what our machines are capable of! Thanks Mark Russell the "Feedback Fanatic"!
This company cut down many trees for me. Their work was very professional and clean. As an extra, his people even took away all the wood to keep the work very clean for us. He was here personnally to oversee all the work. I recommend his work highly.

They were in the area and asked if I wanted a dead tree taken down. I knew it had to be cut down for safety reasons so I asked Mark for a price. From my experience of dealing with tree services, I knew what a fare price was. He quoted a good price, did the job fast safe and cleaned up everything. They even did a little extra trimming for no charge. I would highly recommend them.

Thanks for the review! As a note to all viewers, we cut his tree stacked it at the curb, and collected the check after the takedown was complete. Our 5-star guarantee is your assurance that all the debris will be hauled away. This review was posted AFTER the debris was hauled away. Sometimes due to scheduling reasons, we haul the debris away on the second day. The nice thing about Kudzu is that you are GUARANTEED that it gets hauled or you could leave us a bad review. And if you look back through our 215 reviews, you wont find a single one. We know that there are a TON of tree services out there and we know we need to stand out from the crowd some how. That is why we are such sticklers about your satisfaction! Mark
Mark and his crew removed a tree from my backyard. He thoroughly discussed the situation with me, gave me a fair price and completed the work quickly. They even left the yard cleaner than they found it. I was concerned about another tree and he even recommended against removal. We are very pleased with the service. I will call them back for maintenance on our trees in the future.

JohnsCreekFamily- Thanks for the opportunity to take care of your trees. As a note to the readers. we ALWAYS try to leave the yard cleaner that the way we found it. Our blowers are br600's from Stihl. They are the most powerful backblower that money can buy. They put out about ten times more cubic air volume than typical consumer blowers. since it is so easy and fast to clean up leafs etc, we like to really make your yard look great with them. Thanks again for the review and call us when you are ready to trim the rest of your trees! Mark
I've got a few issues with the way Mark and his team conduct their business. They show up on time, work hard, respect the property around them and complete the job ahead of schedule? This is not something I was familiar with in working with contractors! Mark and his crew were spectacular! They took down a large number of trees and finished the job in one day when it should have taken two to three. He had all of the downed trees removed the following day (Saturday) as promised and all of the necessary stumps grinded. There were a couple of issues like a damaged fence board and mis-adjusted gate but true to his word "he'll make it right" they were taken care of. We'll be listing him in our neighborhood newsletter to recommend to all of our neighbors as well. Thanks again to Mark and his team! Fantastic job!

WHEW!!!!! is all I have to say after this job. It was a REALLY big job. Somtimes I mess up on my estimate of time and shoot myself in the foot. This job was DEFIANTLY one of thoes times. This job had 5 really big/heavy pines in a back yard plus about 11 other smaller trees to remove and grind the stumps. We were there for 13 hours that day. We did not put the fence back the way we were supposed to and we missed a small tree that we were suppose to cut. With that in mind, re-read what they wrote about us. FIVE STAR!!! Wahoo!!!! I LOVE TO GIVE MY CUSTOMERS PERFECT WORK!! I personally came back to their house, adjusted the gate, replaced the fence slat and remover the smaller tree we forgot. Honestly at first it was difficult because I knew my profit margin was SO slim on this job. But I have a commitment to honor my word. It is the ONLY thing we have. So if I tell you that the job will be done 5-star or it is free, I will back it up. Every single tree services out there makes mistakes. The true test of quality and craftsmanship is how they handle themselves to make it right. Thanks for the review and thanks for your business! Mark
Mark and his crew did an outstanding job in removing a dead tree from my backyard. They were on time and completed the task on time. One of the dead branches fell on the roof gutter, but Mark replaced the damaged gutter with a new one including new gutter guards like promised...Very professional and will recommend to everyone.

Hey PavanPakala. Thanks for the review!!! I have no problem admitting that accidents happen. True quality customer service is tested in the response of the business when something goes wrong. For this particular job we were taking down a REALLY dead oak tree over his house. The problem was that because it was SO rotten/unstable, we could not climb to the tip top. So we had to stay 2/3rds up the tree when making our cuts. This in turn made the branches that we were lowering with our ropes loner. Why am I bothering to write all this? Because one of the long branches brushed a nearby tree. This tree had a loose branch in it that had broken off prior to us getting there. The loose branch fell and hit his gutter. Was it our fault that the tree beside had not been maintained? Nope.... But if there is a doubt, are we going to make it right anyway??? YUP!!! That is our guarantee and the one thing that we can hold onto that makes our tree service different. We had a gutter professionaly made (thankfully the cutter store was less than a mile away) and we installed it prior to leaving. Thanks again PavanPakala for the review! Mark
MArk and his guys were working at my neighbors yard and I asked him to look at some work at my house right next door. After completing my neighbors work, he and his guys took down three trees, pruned another and got into a really large Pin Oak and cleaned out alot of the dead limbs. We had an extensive amount of landscaping under the trees combined with electrical lines, a small koi pond, cable TV lines, exterior lighitng lines and not to mention one oif the trees was about 15 foot from our front door. I was amazed at how they were able to take the trees down and really avoided all the obstacles that my front yard and hoiuse presented. Some of the landscaping was trampeled, but that was unavoidable. We watered everything and have realized that we lost none of our plants. Thank you for a job well done in very tight conditions.

I was wondering when this review was going to show up. If you could have seen this clients front yard, you would know why he mentioned how tight of an area we had to work with. It was SUPER tight! It is worth mentioning that the reason that the plants were "unavoidable" to hit was strictly do to a price issue. In looking at the plants vs the tree, I felt like we could do a great job with minimal damage to the plants without the $2000 extra to bring in a crane. Somtimes it is just way more cost effective when the area is really tight to take the chance with the bushes rather than spending the money on the crane. One other note that is REALLY worth mentioning. Prior to starting, I informed the client that there would be minimal damage to the plants and that I would not guarantee them "for the price paid" because to guarantee them would have been an exponentially higher cost. I only mention this to reinforce that we don't sell our jobs on "fluff". We tell you what the damage will be up front at that certain price point. If there is more, we fix it EVERY time. But what you wont get from us is any song and dance, either up front or at the end of the job. We love taking care or our customers! Thanks for the review.
A neighbor had some trees that needed to be taken down and Mark came over with her to talk about a tree in our front yard next to the house. He gave a fair price to take it down and remove the tree. Very satisfied with the results; all debris was removed and the plants and light post were not damaged to my amazement. He and his crew are very professional. I highly recommend him for any tree work you need taken care of.

Smile. This is kind of funny. The review right above this one mentioned damage to plants and I explain the cost/damage relationship. With this particular job, I quoted it REALLY inexpensive because he gave us permission to remove a broken outdoor-lamp that was going to be removed anyway. Also, as with the review above, I informed the client that at the price he wanted, there would be some damage to the bushes. WELL....... I forgot to tell my climber about this and by default he lowered every piece with ropes. So in this case, the client received the most expensive/time consuming service, for the best price. Ohhh well... At least it wasn't the other way around!! (smile). Thanks for the review!!!
We have a Hickory Tree on our front lawn near the road that has been looking a bit poorly since the drought and I was worried it might have a disease. I phoned and they answered immediately (compared to 2 other places on this site). In summary, he came over right away after the call, took a look at the tree and was honest that it didn't need to be taken down, and was also kind enough to walk through our back garden and give some advice. Knowledgeable and super friendly and I'll definitely phone them again and recommend them to others.
