I made the mistake of hiring this plumber to reconnect my kitchen sink and dishwasher. The plumber was in my home 5+ hrs and never did get the dishwasher working properly. The plumber was a friendly conspiracy theory type who clearly could not follow the instructions on the dishwasher installation guide. The kitchen sits over an open basements and there was easy access to the pipes. Some of the PVC joints under the sink appear used. There is a rubber boot with two clamps connecting the basement PVC to the sink PVC. After he connected the dishwasher and tried to run it the breaker kept tripping. He refused to warranty his work on the dishwasher. I hired an electrician to connect the dishwasher. It works like a charm after proper connection. I paid this plumber $874.50 for labor and materials. The itemized bill said the materials was $214.00. The total run of copper and PVC is not 3 ft. I could have done the job myself in less than two hours but I am not supposed to climb ladders which was necessary in the basement due to the height of the ceiling. So I made a bad choice and I will live with my mistake. I do not recommend any one else make my mistake.

These guys helped me trmendously with a problem at my house that two other companies in Rockdale could not solve. I met the owner volunteering at a United Way fund raising event. Nice guy! You can feel comfortable in their hands.

My mom had sewage overflowing in her basement. She is 78 years old and did not have a clue what to do. I live out of town so I had her give me a number out of the phone book. I called A Better Plumbing. They took care of the problem and made my mom happy, which made me happy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!

Our shower started leaking down into our kitchen ceiling. When the guy first showed up, he said simple repair job. Once he started working he said he needed a part but didn't come in his plumbing truck (???)4 hours later, a giant hole in the ceiling, and a flooded floor b/c he forgot to turn off the water, he was nice enough to charge us over $700. And the repair wasn't even done correctly b/c a few months later I had to call another plumber out to fix the same problem. Turns out these guys used a plastic part for hot water rather than brass so that they could save a few bucks. But guess what? Plastic melts! And the new plumber (over at Plumbing Detectives) did the repair for under $300 and finish in about an hour.

We had a leaky bathtub faucet. Jason came promptly, but he walked into the bathroom and said it would cost 'big bucks' to correct the leak since the house was so old. After I told him that was not an option, he would try to find a replacement part. He left came back saying he was able to get the part. It appeared he had fixed the leak. He charged $385 but said he could not give me an itemized bill because he had run out of the forms and he wrote a statement that he would not guarantee any work he did. After he left, we discovered water was leaking into our laundry room from the bathroom in the floor above (the one he 'fixed'. We called, but he would not come back. We had to get someone else to tighten the screws he left loose on the valve to stop the water leaking into the laundry room. We still have the leak.

We had water leaking into our living room from our master shower. Plumber came out & cut 2 holes in our ceiling & could not find the source of the probelm. Within five minutes of inspecting the hole myself, I found the problem. The tiles in the shower were not sealed properly & water was leaking through a hole cut for electrical wiring between the 2 floors. Repair of the ceiling was not included.

We needed our water line repaired at the meter when it broke prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. I tried several plumbers who were booked. One of the plumbers recommended A Better Plumbing Service. The customer representative was very polite. The plumber called to confirm our appointment and arrived within 10 minutes of the time. The work was done quickly and correctly and I was charged the rate that I had been quoted on the phone. This was a very professional job.
