Our 13-year old Sophie has been staying with Passion for Pets for 3 years when we go out of town. We have not boarded Sophie much in the past as we had less than favorable experiences with crating/caging so finding Marcia and Jim's cage-free environment was a relief. Boarding an older dog can be difficult but we're comfortable while away and Sophie always comes home clean and happy. No more bruising on her nose from rubbing up against a cage. We recently had to leave Sophie with Marcia and Jim for 2 weeks when we had to move out of our house for repairs after a flood followed by a week of vacation. We really missed our pet but received wonderful photos of her. We also enjoy just visiting with Marcia and Jim when we drop off and pickup.

We have a 2 year old female, Charlie, and according to her DNA panel she is Chow, Beagle, Border Collie, and Australian Shepard mix. Charlie loves going to APFP, she loves Jim & Marcia. Charlie is goes twice/week for Day Care and comes home exhausted. When I say "we are going to see Jim & Marcia" Charlie goes crazy, she cannot wait to get in the car and go see her K-9 besties!! I would recommend A Passion For Pets (APFP) to everyone who is looking for a family owned and trusted place to send their Fur Babies for a fun day of play.

Jim and Marcia are wonderful. From the very beginning when I 1st brought my dog to daycare to work on socialization, they were so encouraging and inviting. My dog has had a few interactions with larger dogs at a local dog park which has made him very timid and aggressive towards certain breads that may trigger these emotions/flashbacks. When I bring my dog in, Jim treats him as one of his own dogs and works with his issues throughout the day to get him back to the normal dog he was prior to the incidents. We also do private training with Jim, which I can say even after the 1st training class, I could see HUGE results. I really like how he educates my husband and I throughout the training class as well. He and Marcia both are 2 of the nicest people I have ever met and have a huge heart! I never worry about my dog when I leave him for the day and I trust them 100%. This place is highly recommended. They treat all dogs that come just like their own.

No kidding! Passion for Pets is the only place I will bring my "fussy" dog. Playcare, boarding and now offering natural, organic raw food. Cage free boarding is his home away from home. He loves staying with Jim and Marsha. Oh and don't forget the grooming...the best stylists ever. This is a loving, professional, spacious, fun place to bring your pet. Your pet is going to love this place and so will you. Thank you Jim and Marsha for years of caring for Minx!

I love how Marcia and Jim take care of my babies. They really treat them as their own. My old chihuahua has temperament issues sometimes but he is more than perfect while he stays here, means he loves it! My 2 pound teacup requires special care that only Marcia could really bring. I totally recommend them. They are the best! Have experience. Love animals and have a passion for what the do. We are using them for boarding every time for a week every time. Perfect always!

Now that our children are grown and out on their own, our little Cavalier King Charles “Beau” is the only family member left at home. And yes, Beau is family. That’s why when we travel we want to be sure he is well taken care of while we’re gone. Thank goodness we found A Passion for Pets, a dog day care and boarding facility that truly gives hands-on attention. Here, your dog will NOT be left in a cage all day, only taken out a couple of times. In fact, there are no cages at A Passion for Pets, just a large fenced-in outside area with several play areas and a rambling house with several playrooms. Marcia and Jim are the owners and the hands-on operators of A Passion for Pets. In addition to being super nice people, they obviously love dogs and have several of their own. Dogs staying at the facility for the day, a week or longer have human contact all the time, even at night when Jim or another employee stays overnight with the boarders. In addition to offering boarding and day care, A Passion for Pets offers full-service grooming and a well-stocked bake shop / natural foods area. We’ve been well pleased with both. Beau enjoys his day visits to A Passion for Pets so he can play with other friendly dogs (no mean dogs allowed here) and, after a stay, looks happy and healthy when we pick him up. And, while we miss him when we travel, we do take comfort knowing he is in good hands.

We have boarded our dog here several times when we've gone out of town. The dog loves it and we have been very happy every time. They meet with the pets before boarding them, to make sure they're a good fit. Pets are well-supervised and have lots of outdoor play time. Our dog is exhausted but happy every time she stays here. They also have great grooming services and a cute doggy bakery inside.

I have a 13 year old ShihTzu-blind and deaf. Crate free boarding. Very satisfied with her care! Highly recommend. My dog did not come home sick, she was very happy there. Plus owner sent me pics of her. Plus grooming here is great....Thanks!

I have been bringing my dogs to Marcia and Jim for over 6 years and they are wonderful. Personal attention, great groomers who work around your schedule and a great value. This family owned business will make you feel comfortable leaving your pet there when you go out of town. It's like a hotel for dogs--they have a TV room with comfortable furniture and an outdoor play yard where Jim plays with them and makes sure they get their exercise. Try them, they rate above all others, I wouldn't trust anyone else.

Jim and Marcia treat every pet they encounter as their own. Their compassion and love of animals is quite obvious to us and to our pets. We boarded our dog with Jim and Marcia for a week while on vacation and once we returned our dog was depressed for a week and missed her time at A Passion for Pets. Jim has a gift for training and helped us tremendously with his knowledge and insight with our latest rescue addition. We will never take our pets any where else for grooming, boarding or training. We love the personal attention our dogs receive while with Jim and Marcia. Thanks for giving us an option for our pets and the secure feeling we have that our pets are in great hands. The only bad thing is our pets love it so much they don't want to come home.....

We use A Passion for Pets daycare at least twice per week. When I first brought our new puppy to the daycare I had not used one before and I was apprehensive. Marcia and Jim Wentzell made us feel at ease during our initial meeting. They have a lot of experience and were able to answer our questions. They seem attentive to the dogs and are always able to give me an update on how my dog is doing that day. I recommend their services!
