Second time calling on Tex. Once again pleased with the outcome. We asked him to come by to replace burned out ceiling fan on our tall (14') ceiling. Tex was on-time, had the tools he needed, and... knocked the job out in an hour, including takedown of old fan. Thanks, Tex!VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
I had an emergency on Sunday when someone broke into my house and I needed my window repaired. Tex came out in a few hours, fixed the screen/alarm sensor and gave me a good deal. I really appreciate... his expertise and friendliness and highly recommend him for any type of work. I will have him come back and fix several items in my house.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I called Tex several days before he came out. He touted his expensive truck and the expensive tools/supplies in the truck after explaining he didn't do estimates. My concern was his hourly rate, but decided to use him after he said he was fast and wouldn't waste time getting parts. I hired him to run an extension onto a gas line roughly 8 feet from where it was in our full basement where there was plenty of room to work. Guess what?!? He showed up and 6 hours later billed for about 2-3x what I was expecting based on the research I had done ($600-$700). Turns out he had to go to the store to get materials and half his billable time was dedicated to that. In Tex's defense I would hire him again but only in case of an emergency like a busted pipe or gas leak and until I come across another capable handyman. He's simply too expensive for any other job.

I am sorry that you feel this way . I appreciate you being fair with your review . However somtimes the majority of the project is knowing what to get , and the fastest way to use it for a quality job . yep sounds like a simple project but rember when it comes to Gas lives are at stake . your nominclature is a little off I always give an estimate and estimates can go higher or lower . a Quote is what you are refering to and a quote is a soild price . in which I will tell you is just like rolling the dice betting against the house because quality is usually secondary on this situation because the person doing the quote tring to maximize his hourly rate no matter what corners or cut to give the final result. I did quote all my jobs till about 14 years ago I have found you get what you pay for and I get what I do . I also understand your sticker shock although honestly I dont remeber the particular job . If thier is anyway we can discuss this to ease your pain . give me a call 404.405.4008

Tex is a great guy, and really knows what he is talking about. Not only does he fix the problem, but he saves you money: a lot of money. He puts in the hours and has a lot of work experience, and I am extremely comfortable working with him. I would recommend him to any of my friends, and plan to do business with him for a long time. Thanks Tex!
