A&R Stone did a great job. Chris was easy to work with and made great suggestions. They did our granite and our tile backsplash. I couldn't be happier. I swear my kitchen looks 100% better and so much bigger. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Chris was very good to keep in touch after one of our subcontractors failed to complete our cabinets, delaying our ability to install the counter tops. Once we were ready, Chris found a great deal on a marble slab and gave us a better price for a higher quality job than Home Depot or any of the local competitors. Highly recommended!

I often rely on Kudzu reviews when choosing services, and when it was time to redo my kitchen, I read that A&R Stone had over 30 5 star ratings. I'm glad I did my research--30 other people were right--it was an effortless and professional experience every step of the way. I chose to install new granite countertops, stainless steel sink/faucet, under cabinet lighting and a custom designed glass tile backsplash. My project manager, Chris Welch, was professional, accessible and knowledgeable about every aspect of the job. Robert Sizemore, a meticulous, honest and skilled craftsman, diligently worked to make my kitchen look PERFECT. I am so thrilled with the results, AND the fact that the job was FAIRLY PRICED and there were no hidden charges. Every step of the process was clearly explained and every cost was itemized--VERY important to me--especially with a big project that I wanted to keep on budget. There are so many other contractors/countertop places out there to choose from, but know that I am a perfectionist and A&R exceeded my expectations. I would certainly use them again for another home improvement project.

I had an appointment with Chris at 11am to get an estimate for granite countertops for my kitchen. I took the day off work, as the appointment was on Tuesday. At 11:20am, he had not arrived, so I tried calling, and it went straight to voicemail. I tried calling several more times over the next couple of hours. At 2:00, I gave up. So glad I wasted a vacation day... If this is any indication of what respect they show their customers, I have no interest in doing business with this company.

I deeply regret the inconvenience this person experienced due to my error. She first contacted me on my cell phone while I was out of the showroom, and we made an estimate appointment for 11:00 the following day. Later, in entering the appointment on the company calendar, I errantly entered the time as 3:00. I take great pride in being highly available to my customers by phone, but that morning I was doing a template in a mountain community where I did not have cell coverage, so her attempts to contact me were unsuccessful, adding to her frustration. I called her at 2:15 to confirm her address, which did not come up in a MapQuest search, when she informed me that I had missed our 11:00 appointment. I immediately acknowledged my error and offered my apology for the mistake. She ended the conversation abruptly, giving me no opportunity to reschedule or try to make up for her wasted time. Her experience is in no way indicative of the way we conduct business, and it is our opinion that her brief experience does not put her in a position to accurately evaluate A&R Stone.
Manager, A&R Stone
I would stop in to AR Stone from time to time and talked with Chris several times prior to buying. Chris would always make me feel welcome and would take the time to answer all of my questions. When I was ready to move forward with this project I used them mostly because of Chris, he is an extremely knowledgeable and professional person. Chris provided me with the complete accurate descriptions of the work, and was exact with the total costs. I ordered Tobacco red and could not be happier with the installation and end results; I'll definitely call them back for my next project, and recommend them.

We had A&R install granite countertops in our kitchen and a marble tile backsplash above the sink and cooktop. They came when they said they would and the work was excellent. We obtained several quotes and theirs was the lowest. I recommend highly.

I recently had A & R put in granite countertops in my kitchen. I dealt with Chris throughout the process and couldn't be happier. He quickly emailed a quote after I faxed him my drawing and from there everything went smoothly. The workmen did a great job with the installation of the granite and the technician who hooked up my new range, sink, and disposal also did an excellent job. Everyone showed up when they were supposed to, the original quote was honored, and everything looks great. What else could you ask for?? I highly recommend A&R!

Got several quotes on granite and back-splash. Chris, Rick and Dan were available, honest, and easy to work with. We were especially pleased with the amount of explaination of what we should expect upfront. Came in on budget, and had good communication - kitchen looks great! These guys take pride in the work they do and they want to do a great job so you hire them on additional projects. Sounds logical, but we havent seen much of that from other contractors. We recently had a party and everyone inquired about who did such good work - thanks again.

Chris at AR Stone handled our kitchen update with professionalism and sincere interest in getting it done right. He provided us with detailed descriptions of the work and with exact costs. (Very fair and reasonable prices as well). The granite installation was done beautifully by Marcio and Antonio. Rick did a great job on the tile and electrical work and acted as "project manager" to ensure that every detail was tended to. He treated my house like it was his own. I'll definitely call them back for my next project.

We recently updated our 27 year old vanities by selecting granite countertops, new sinks, and new faucets. Chris at A&R Stone was very helpful. He was able to find remnants for all 3 vanities (I wanted to use different granite in each bathroom), and they look amazing! Their prices are very competitive, and they give you a very detailed estimate, so you know exactly what you're paying for. Marcio did the template on Thursday, and he and Antonio installed the countertops on Friday! They did a beautiful job in cutting the stone and everything fit perfectly. They were on time, very careful and did a thorough cleanup. We will definitely use A&R Stone when we do our kitchen!

Mine was a small job, (replacing the countertop in the Master Bath), but Chris never made me feel like my job was less important. He patiently spent time helping me to decide on the granite that I wanted and explaining the process. The entire crew was prompt, cleaned everything up beautifully and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely recommend A&R Stone to anyone!
