I called today and Gary wouldn't even schedule an apt. for AAMCOS free chech engine light. I don't think they want my business. I didn't even get a chance to tell him about my transmission noise he... was so intent on putting me off. I was very impressed with the service I received here. They were very prompt in calling me when my vehicle was ready and the work was done in a timely manner, not to mention the friendly customer service I received. Thank you Aamco!

I too found the manager, Robyn, to be brash and lippy. It was like she's burnt out or too comfortable. I was loured in with phrases like "It's likely something simple, and won't cost as much as the dealer. The dealer will always recommend replacing the whole x-mission, "we'll" get it right..." turns out it was just as my dealer had told me and the price was comparable but the warranty is not as good. They were happy to find other things wrong to boost the price.

I'm sorry that you were unhappy with the repairs that you recieved. We are always optimistic that we can save the customer money as well as give them a outstanding product. If you wish to discuss this further please call us or stop by.
When the transmission on my mini van was acting up I took it to a auto shop and was told all I needed was a transmission service. Well after wasting $115.00 for this service my transmission was nowhere near running good. Finally I went to Aamco where I should have went first. We had a great experience and we had our van back in 4 days. Now it is running like new. I would recommend Aamco to anyone looking for good service the first time around.

Over the phone I asked very pointedly for a worst-case price for a transmission rebuild for my make and model car. The answer was “about 900.00.” The dealer quoted 2600.00. I initially had to “ok” a $500.00 tear-down to find the problem. When I was contacted again the estimate went up to 2700.00. I was obviously stuck. 500 already spent. I complained, mentioning the dealer prce. I was told by the manager (Robin) that I was "wrong." I had to give her the dealer contact information so she could call and confirm. They lowered the price some but only with some smart-alecky comment about us using "fancy footwork" to get that price. I walked out spending around $2500. It broke down a month later where we were told by Robin, “I don’t want to blame anyone but had you brought it in sooner we probably wouldn’t be in this situation.” Well, you just blamed the customer for your shoddy work. The customer service was horrific. Robin avoids eye contact and doesn’t acknowledge customer presence in the lobby. I am completely disappointed in the bait and switch tactic. I wound up with a one year warranty where the dealer’s was 3. Robin was supposed to call back about a loner car for the second rebuild and she never called. Her sour attitude makes me wonder if something is sabotaged or put in carelessly just to spite us. Mr. Buvel, I hope you know what goes on in your facility.

Sorry that you and Robbyn did not see eye to eye. Trust me however when I let you know that Robbyn works here because not only is she knowledgeable but dependable and honest. She wanted me to extend her apologies if she was less than professional. I hope that you can resolve your issues with Aamco and find it in the cards to give us another chance. -Bob Buvel
They provide great service with a smile and were able to work out a payment arrangement which made it less stressful on us. Now days it's hard to find experts dedicated to giving the consumer their all and I feel that we got it from Aamco in Mission Bay.

After 6 months siting our 1997 Jetta transmission was shifting badly. The BG had rebuilt the unit 2 years previously and even though the warrenty had expired they repaired it at no cost and performed other service at very competative prices. High marks!

I needed transmission workd after only 65K on a Camry. Robbyn (gen mgr) patiently answered all my questions and went above & beyond to help with my efforts to claim the damage as a result of a recent accident. After the work was complete, I had some problems with rough idle. Robbyn made a quick appt, and even though they determined it was nt due to their work, they fixed it anyway!

I had a rusted clutch cable on my old geo tracker. AAMCO was honest and gave the correct diagnosis. The owner Bob was cheerful and ALL of his staff was glad to explain any questions. They have a tight ship over there and will get my buisness again. The rates were average, but the service and honesty go much beyond the call of duty. Thanks again everyone. And thank you for having a quality cream for the coffee. It helps when there is a good cup of coffee to drink!

You guys will have my wifes' car done this on Monday. We went to two other places, because the tranny seemed to have a delay in shifting. They both wanted to put in a new one and you are simply replacing a sensor and cable for less then $200.00. I nearly had a hear attack when you told me how much I would be saving. I will NEVER see another company again for a transmission issue!!
