Clear Video, 12/07/2010

I'm new to having security cameras in my house. I got ADT's camera 2 weeks ago and it's good so far. The quality of the video is super clear even at night.

Clear Video

Just bad experience

I had ADT security for my rental property. The tenants got a bill for tripping the alarm, so they tampered the system, cut the wires and masked the sensors. ADT didn't inform us about this and kept billing us each month. After the tenant moved out, we found out about this and called ADT. They said if the wire were cut then they will not receive any signal and so they cannot protect the property and it is our responsibility to make sure that they are receiving signals. I asked them what if an intruder had tampered with the wire, I am paying for security, if they cannot protect me then it defeats the purpose. They had no answer and kept transferring me to different department and kept dropping the calls, Finally, a supervisor came and listen to the situation and said he will get back to me. Nothing till today, that is several weeks ago.So if you need protection for your family stay away from ADT. I have taken my business to Protect America, they have no installation fee, wireless updated system and cheaper than ADT. On top of all this, you can talk to a live person and get the name and direct number of your representative.

keep track

It?s not a bad system, I mean ADT home alarm system, just keep up with the problems, always keep track of any system troubles and zones that cause false alarms so that when you call the company to fix it you can tell them exactly what?s going on.

Are you receiving the kind of service for the money you pay

ADT may be the biggest and the oldest home security providers in Canada and USA covering over six million customers ranging form the commercial and residential sectors. I have one question to all the customers who have installed ADT home alarms i.e. Are you receiving the kind of service for the money you pay for?

the best company

ADT is the best company when it comes to security. They have a lifetime warranty on all equipment, 36 hour service call response time (try getting those other companies to do that) world class service!! what do you expect? ADT is securing the White house, The Pentagon, and Fort Knox!! Everyone i have talk to that has ADT (about 100 people) has the same feeling about this great company. remember, people only like to talk when they have a bad experience, very seldom do people share their good ones. Thats the only reason these other reviews are bad, not because ADT is a bad company by any means.

Customer Service is TERRIBLE

Customer Service is TERRIBLE. I had a ""first call"" appointment scheduled from 8:00 - 9:00 am today. At 9:00 am I called ADT to find out why the technician had not shown up on time just to discover that they double booked thier ""first call"" appointments. No, first call appointments mean that you are the FIRST appointment for that day. I took off work (my work day starts at 6:30 am) to wait for the 8:00 am appointment. Its 10:17 am and no one has shown up yet. Thats 1/2 day of time off and is unacceptable. Oh, and the best part, they still want to charge me the $25 service charge fee for the technician to come to my house 3 hours late. What choice do I have but to pay it? Well, come 4 more months I will have a choice, to not continue service with ADT and I will go with the different service company.

DT monitored home alarm systems provide a higher level of service and protection in Illinois. With wireless equipment and detection devices like motion sensors, ADT monitored home security's offering is beyond compare. While companies like Brinks and Monitronics offer a number of fine features, ADT's prices are more affordable and their service offering is more robust.
