HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Do not go here....very rude people, would not take back the part - even though it was not used. Basically threw my receipt in my face. Would rather pay full price than try and save a few bucks. I guess so the saying goes - if you buy cheap - you get cheap.

I recently had Appliancemax to my home to repair my oven. The tech figured out what the problwm was and was able to repair it right then with parts he had on his van. The tech was prompt and very professional. The cost was quite reasonable. I would recommend this company to everyone.

Two days ago my washing machine started making a terrible noise and I had Appliancemax come to my home to service the machine. The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. He had the part on his truck and was in and out in less than 40 minutes. The washer works great now!

Guess we should have read kudzu.com before calling them... One of the burners of our gas cooktop would not ignite anymore: the SAME technician came to our house a total of 5 times (always late, plus sometimes a no-show with no call), even though after 2 or 3 visits we specifically asked for another technician - didn't happen. He ended up ordering two different parts that he installed, and still the burner didn't work. We finally kicked him out of our house after the 5th visit and over $200 for no result. I called a GE technician who came the next day and fixed the problem in 10 minutes: all he did was fasten a part (with a screwdriver) that was a little too lose. Ouch!

Appliancemax was sent to my home by the manufacturer to repair my oven. After four attempts, the only thing they did was collect $199 from me but the oven is still not fixed. Appliancemax refuses to refund my money and the customer service rep told me that it was "none of my business" as to where the supervisor was but that he was unavailable to talk to me. Do not use this company!!

Repairman was 2 hours past the time promised. No calls to say he would be last. Price quoted was twice that of other quotes I received. Put in call to the company on 2 different occasions requesting a call back from a manager. No one ever called. Person answering the phone was also unable to give me the name of a supervisor on either occasion.

My refrigerator stopped working and ApplianceMax came out and diagnosed it as the compressor fan going out. They charged me $206 and left without testing the compressor or anything else. The technician was in a hurry to finish the rest of his Saturday route. This fan was not the only problem. The compressor needed to be fixed and that was an additional $600. So we would have never replaced both parts for $800 on a $1000 fridge. They misdiagnosed the problem and will not even take the fan part back and give me credit. These people have numberoue BBB complaints and have been in and out of business during the last couple of years. STAY AWAY FROM THIS FLY BY NIGHT COMPANY. I will send a complaint to Amana because they were on their approved vendor list for service.

My new LG French door refrigerator (8 months old) fan broke, and it took Appliancemax 17 days to repair it. I was told that this is a common problem with this brand of refrig, but of course AppMax did not carry the part. Manager was never available - always in a meeting and did not return my calls. Deplorable - no refrig for 17 days! Never will call them for any future repair.

I have had a service tech to come to my house 3 times to fix a problem on my new refrigerator that was under warranty, now they are saying I need a new ice maker for a 6 month old refrigerator. I'm not sure they know what they are doing or just doing this to get the money from the warranty. They also gave me an outragous price to fix my dishwasher.

My home warranty company assigned ApplianceMax to service my oven. I asked that they call me 30 minutes before arriving. No problem. The next morning I called again to verify that I would get an advance call. They told me the technician lived close to me and would prefer that I be his last call, probably around 6pm. They called at 5:15 to say that he was on his last call and would then be at my home. I said that at rush hour it would take at least 35 minutes for me to get home. I was told it wouldn't be a problem. I sped dangerously home, arriving at 5:35, 20 minutes after their call. There was nothing but a comment card hanging on my door when I arrived. I called their office immediately and got an answering machine with no emergency or secondary number to call. I never called back and they never called to reschedule.

our 20 year old microwave broke from normal wear and tear. because of the way the tech communicated with our home warranty company, the repair was not covered. despite repeated attempts to speak with appliancemax, they refused to speak with us by phone to discuss the problem. i was very dissatisfied with both the competence of the tech and the poor customer service and would definitely NOT recommend this company.

Appliance Max installed a dishwasher for me and the technician did an adequate job. He was not very friendly, but did complete a satisfactory installation. However, he left a mess on my kitchen floor that he didn't even try to clean up.
