We work mostly with all natural products and minimize our project debris removal. In addition, we recycle our delivery materials. We also conduct business in a paperless environment by processing our documents electronically.
Scott installed flagstone patio and stacked stone columns. Timely, on budget and super responsive throughout entire project.
From the recent telephone discussion with Scott Arnold, my assessment is that unless you are a millionaire, you need not call his business. While I was trying to explain the job, he kept... interupting by saying that his minimum price is $5,000 without any knowledge of how much I was willing to spend (which was substantially more than his minimum). He tried to blow me off by asking me to send him an email and never responded to it. Save yourself the humiliation and call someone else.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Scott is a nice guy. Explained why the stones started coming up weeks after installation. WE UNDERSTAND although our other patio that is 6 years old never did. He had his crew (which are NOT professional) come out to regrout, the last time was his shot at making all the grout match. We have FACTUAL pictures that show the work. We contacted him after Angie's List asked for our input and have not heard a word. Again nice guy but the outcome was less than professional and not acceptable. We have different color grout ALL over our patio, which our guests note right away. Small stones to fill a whole with light grout, grout with what looks like DIRT in it, and darker grout. Again, if I could attach pictures I would as they ARE THE FACTS.

Dan, as stated in our rebuttal within Angies List we reached out to you several times trying to please you yet educate you in regards to the stone which we had to match due to your existing patio. I told you at the forefront that sandstone at times has a tendency to receive hair line cracks where the mortar meets the stone.(This is stipulated within our contract as well). I pointed it out to you on your existing patio as well as have many pictures showing this. I also told you when you insisted that we grout in such small spaces that the mortar would be the same type yet since it had been several months that the color would take a little time to blend due to the elements. I educated you at the forefront. In an attempt to please you I had my company follow through with your wishes. This project was completed in June. We have truly done more than most companies out there and we do strive for complete customer satisfaction. Out of 110 reviews we only have ONE (1) negative review in regards to workmanship so it should be extremely obvious to our future clientele just what type of company we are and how serious we take our business, our reputation , and our professionalism throughout all facets of our company including all of our personnel. We have attached a picture of your project for everyone to see. It is the very first one in the gallery.
We are so thrilled with our new outdoor entertaining area that Scott and his crew designed and installed. Itís absolutely stunning! We contacted Scott in early November to discuss options for our backyard make-over. He came out to our house on a Saturday with his landscaper/water feature expert, Dennis. After discussing what we had in mind, Scott was kind enough to let us visit his home to see his work in person as well as a job he had just completed in Atlanta. He was quick with getting us a full turn-key quote and within the next week construction was underway!! Scott was the ultimate professional and communicated every step of the project with us as far as scheduling and the installation process. The end result is a spectacular 800+ square foot crab orchard flagstone patio which includes walkways and stone steps , a beautifully crafted 9í crab orchard fireplace (which is truly a work of art) and a pondless elevated water feature that makes the whole living space feel unbelievably tranquil. Scott also removed our existing deck staircase and constructed a new stairway with two landings to connect to our new patio. The project was finished off with beautiful landscaping and low voltage night lighting that creates such a warm and inviting ambiance to the entire living space. We canít wait to have all our friends over for a BBQ and show off our new space! Thanks Scott and the rest of the crew for creating a fabulous space we will thoroughly enjoy for years to come!

Bobby and Ashley, We all want to thank you so much for being such fantastic clients as well as giving us the opportunity to create such a magnificent outdoor living area incorporating hardscape and landscape with night lighting, decking, dry creek bed and even a beautiful elevated pondless waterfall. We are all very proud of it and from what you said your family and friends have all said, we are sure you are as well! Thank you once more and we hope you enjoy it all for many years to come!
Our home is a copy of a house in Williamsburg, VA with many unusual brick features. Recently lighting hit the chimney and caused major damage. Since three fireplaces utilize the chimney involved, and the brick work is unusual, I wanted someone who was a master mason with the years of experience to do the repairs. Scott Arnold fit the bill. He was always prompt with his return calls, he showed up on time, gave us a very competitive bid and even helped negotiate with the insurance company. Jose and his crew were knowledgeable, efficient and did good work. We are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Arnold Masonry and Concrete.

Thank you Linda and Gary. It was such a pleasure doing business with you and we hope to see you again when you move forward with your home renovations!
We are so impressed with Scott's professionalism, reliability and creativity.Hands on during the entire project. Scott's design included a complete renovation of our old back deck measuring 45' x 14'. One end measuring 14' x 18' was transformed into a covered open air room complete w/ gorgeous stone columns and arches. One wall is solid stone w/candle niches and a beautiful fireplace.Vaulted ceiling with pine.Electrical, cable, gas were run and Scott even installed TV above the fireplace. The new elevated patio is 11' off the ground so he came up with a frame design to handle the weight and used synthetic stone instead of heavy real stone. The stone looks so amazingly real! The floor is finished in a stunning 16" x 24" Kund Slate. They also constructed stone columns along the outside with decorative steel railing in black and an impressive stone built-in grill. Scott's insistence on black spiral stairs was perfect! The underside of the elevated patio w/ can lights, fans and a wood ceiling. The ground level patio is finished in flagstone. We now have a completely finished ground level outdoor living area also. They painted the exterior of the house and installed new gutters. Scott recommended going with deep bronze gutters, shutters, doors and columns underneath to match. What a transformation! Landscaping is next on the list. We are so pleased with the end result- it could be featured in Architectural Digest! We highly recommend Scott and his firm! Thank you Scott and AM&C!

Thank you Kelly for everything - A big thumbs up to you and REMAX as well!
This is not to review Arnold Masonry and Concrete's work as we did not see their quality. With the great reviews I expected a better approach and customer focus than I received. Waited for almost an hour checking every 10 minutes then found a brochure and business card on the front door even though they had my cellphone. Called the provided cell and wouldn't come back to discuss the project but would send an estimate. Followed up on the estimate and they stated that their time and capital spent on the initial visit when no one was there wasn't a good sign. My time is pretty important and valuable as well and it is unfortunate that my experience wasn't as others have described.

Chris, Words cannot describe how utterly disappointed I am with you and your deceptive actions. I arrived at your home at the precise time we agreed upon. I rang your door bell and waited. I than knocked. I rang the bell once more and than went and sat in my vehicle for 10 minutes. There were no cars in the driveway and no sound coming from within your home.I called your cell number and since you didn't answer I left a voice mail. I then walked back to your door, rang the bell once more and than left the literature as you stated. I received a return call from you 30 minutes later where you apologized for not being there and since I had many other estimates all over town I was sincere in telling you that I could not make all the others wait due to your own lack of being at your home for the meeting. You wrote an email earlier this week asking for another meeting and I replied in honesty stating that I just felt that due to the situation I was not interested in the project. Now you write a negative review. Why, I ask. I think the answer to this rhetorical question is self evident. Our "free estimates" are a service we offer to all potential clients yet they are not free to any company you contact. The simple fact is that I did my part and more. You did not show up and due to your own inability to accept the wrong you go beyond that and reach out endeavoring to somehow make my company look bad. Shame on you. I am extremely appreciative of all of our appreciative clients- past and future. Scott R. Arnold
Let me start by saying that I have worked with a number subcontractors and have extremely high standards and expectations. I had a great experience with Arnold masonry and concrete. My project involved dealing with a difficult erosion problem and creating a bluestone walkway and patio. Micah came up with a very attractive and creative solution. He was accessible throughout the entire process and was very attentive to my concerns. I would definitely use this company again, and I highly recommend them to others looking for top quality in stonework.

Thank you, Amy. It was a great pleasure doing business with you. We too have extremely high standards and expectations as you experienced and are so appreciative of clients like yourself. We also look forward to future business as with the new pool that was discussed. Thanks again!
Thank you Melissa. It was a pleasure doing business.
Thank you Rhonda and Sarah. It was a pleasure doing business with you and I hope you enjoy your new entertaining area!
ARNOLD Masonry and Concrete completed a high-quality flagstone patio for my backyard. The flagstone was seamlessly integrated with the existing concrete patio and house. I was especially pleased with the amount of time Scott spent helping with stone selection. I highly recommend his company.

Thank you Jeff~ I feel the Canyon Creek Flagstone was definitely the way to go.
I discovered Arnold Masonry and Concrete through Kudzu and was impressed with all the positive feedback they had received. After meeting with the owner, Scott, and several other contractors, I decided to hire Arnold Masonry and Concrete to complete the initial phase of my landscaping project. This phase include excavation, grading, and the building of an old style granite block retaining wall. Although the weather was challenging to work around, the communication was good and consistent throughout the project. The Arnold crews were very skilled and have obviously spent many years perfecting their crafts. The quality of work for as good as it gets. I subsequently hired Arnold Masonry and Concrete to pour a large concrete slab as the foundation for the next project phase that will be installing flagstone with stacked stone walls and an outdoor fireplace and kitchen. Again, the quality of their work was high and the communication regarding weather delays was regular. I would hire Arnold Masonry and Concrete again and I would encourage anyone considering a project that involved masonry, concrete, or other services they offer to do the same.

Thanks Scott! I'm glad you're pleased with all facets of the project and look forward to future business dealings!
Arnold started with replacing a stone facade on the house. They did a great job so we decided to go on to the drive way and new sidewalk. Might as well get all our messes out of the way at once. Arnold does a great job and is very professional.
