Read all the reviews before you purchase from Home Depot and accept installation from this sub-contractor. I had a new water heater installed. I have no complaint about the installation itself other than the fact I was charged $2,250 and the water heater was $728. Supposedly, $250 was an inspection fee charged by Fulton County, but no one from the County has inspected the installation. I told the technician I wanted the $69 additional 3 year labor warranty offered on this unit. When he left, he told me my warranty info was in the packet he left attached to the water heater. I looked through the packet and found nothing from Home Depot. I called ARS to find out what had happened because the gal, from Home Depot, who arranged this installation, told me to call the girls in the ARS office. They, in turn, called the technician (Ed). He called me back and asked why I had not called him directly. Then, he told me it would take ten days for the 3 year additional labor warranty paperwork to be sent to me by Home Depot. But, this has never happened. I have now left two messages with Ed and he had chosen to just ignore my calls. This is an extremely poor way to conduct business. I am shocked that Home Depot is recommending this company after I've read so many horrible reviews and have had my own very disappointing experience with ARS. Please consider all these reviews before you agree to use their services regardless of Home Depot's recommendation.

Amazing company. Bought a new system through them two years ago with high end hospital grade filter. Maintenance was performed last month and they didn't bring new filter to be installed. SCAM Quoted $150 for new filter almost two months go by and no call. So I called and asked for status update. No apology. Made appointment for filter to be replaced. Called back moments later to reschedule time and customer service states " We don't know how much it will cost " Parts manager supposed to call. Never called. Finally I talk to someone and they quote an estimated $300 even though the kit only costs $147 and I am on their maintenance plan. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

Bought two new units from them in 2013 to replace two 13 year old systems. The repair guy came out and told me I would have to file a warranty claim if I wanted to get the repair covered. Of course I told them on my original call that the unit that broke down is a one I bought in August 2013. Nonetheless, I did not have the technician repair the unit fearing they would recognize the leak in the coil of their unit was not a "covered repair" What made matters worse was the technician, who was a very nice man, could not speak even passable English. He would have to point to things and then I would have to guess what he was trying to say. I bought the units because they were affiliated with Home Depot but I would never do it again. Buyer beware.

My husband and I have been with ARS for a couple of years, but this year they don't have time for us. He called to have a unit fixed over a week ago (the middle of May, not during the middle of the summer) and was told they didn't have time for an appointment until the following week, on Wednesday. The following Wednesday nobody showed up the entire day, and when my husband called he was told that some technicians were out sick, but we would be the first appointment the following Thursday. On Thursday nobody showed up the entire day again, and we were again told that we would be the first appointment the following Friday. On Friday by noon nobody had shown up, so we gave up and cancelled the appointment. I wasted 2-1/2 days waiting for them.

ARS Universal Heating and Air (Marietta) performed my routine maintenance this morning. Lionel F. called ahead as promised to confirm we were first service stop on his work list. He said 8:45am, and that is exactly when he showed up. Very polite and professional, Lionel quickly performed diagnostic tests on both our basement and attic units. He pointed out a blower motor that was drawing too much amperage on our 13 yr old furnace (working to hard to heat) and recommended we consider replacing our unit within the next year or two. He did offer an alternative would be to replace the motor for about $600, but given the age of our unit, that may not be a good long term option. He did not push a sale, just offered options. Our attic unit was new and all tested in good working order. Before leaving, Lionel helped me reconnect some loose duct work that had resulted in warm air not running properly to a supply cent in our finished basement. Overall, Lionel was thorough, pleasant and walked me through everything he did, and what he recommended we keep an eye on down the road. In my opinion, Lionel gave us great customer service - because of him we decided to renew our service maintenance plan with ARS.

I feel that the technicians always go above and beyond to make sure the problem has been fixed. I also believe that ARS does a great job with the preventative aspect of their service by providing scheduled maintenance visits.

Noberto and Deon from ARS arrived at my home just when they said they would (3 pm). They even called me 15 minutes before they arrived as I requested, allowing me to work myself until I actually needed to be at my house to let them in. Both gentlemen were dressed in clean uniforms, and they themselves were clean cut and very polite as should be expected. The best part of this experience was that they did not stop working until the job was finished and we had Heat again. Great service Noberto and Deon!

ARS Universal completed a three-unit duct cleaning today, the first our home has had since it was built in 1998. I wish I had done it sooner, I expected it to be a loud, disruptive mess. Manley (our service pro) was in the house all day, but was very clean, courteous, patient and kept the overall disruption to a minimum. With a sick toddler and it being the coldest day of the year, we were housebound for the day, so his extra efforts in making the experience painless and clean was appreciated. Strongly recommend.
