I have been attending Atlanta Language Institute for 2 years. It was one of the few places I found to offer Japanese classes when I was looking to start. I love my classes, mainly because my teacher is so great. I agree with the other reviewer who said it is only as good as your teacher. Fortunately I have only had wonderful experiences with the teachers at ALI. I would definitely reccomend it to anyone looking to learn a language. Please be aware that Kudzu has the former address of this school, and they have now moved up the street about 3 blocks on Peachtree Dunwood Rd.

We used the Atlanta Language Institute for two years for my 8-year old's Spanish language classes, which were at the intermediate level. My husband and I were pleased with the conversational focus of the one-hour weekly classes. The Language Institute is not inexpensive, but reinforce the basic skills well. At this level of foreign language skill, the focus was on keeping the children speaking, so half the class was conversation with some review of the formal rules on writing. Our daughter loved her Saturday teacher, who was young and energetic. He let her and the 2 other students sit on the tables and clap, play concentration in Spanish, learn songs, and draw on a whiteboard which had been put flat on the table rather than up on the wall. I have recommended the Language Institute to many people. The only drawback is that there is no waiting room for parents and no "lounge" or waiting area in the main office. You must wait for your child outside on cement tables and benches or in your car.

This school is only as good as the instructor that is assigned to your class. So far, the instructors I have had have been pretty good. I was happy with my class and made progress as long as I did the homework. Speaking a foreign language isn't impossible; it is just a matter of getting out of it what you put into it. Paying for quality instruction, like this school, guarantees that you will get something out of it. Buena suerte!

I studied Japanese at the Language Institute and was impressed with the teachers and their willingness to work with people. I drove all the way from Conyers to study here, and all the driving has really payed off. I learned to speak, read, and write Japanese and I would love to study another language there someday. Every moment is fun.

I have been enchanted by my language classes at the Language Institute of Atlanta. I learned Spanish fast and well with a very nice and experienced lady from Mexico. Her way to teach was both structured and entertaining. My last business trip to mexico was a success. I had a bad experience in another school and thought i could not learn Spanish. If you take a class there, try to get Ms. Mercedes, She is awsome! Gracias!!
