Aasent will not return my phone calls or e-mails. After almost 2 months of gathering documents, underwriting, etc. I was told I was pretty much set to close. Days later my loan officer informed me that he was no longer with the company and that I should try to get in touch with Aasent. I have not been able to reach anyone since June 23 and never did get my loan closed. So I am out $350.00 and a lot of wasted time!! Beware of this company (if they even still exist!!)

After working with Aasent Mortgage Co. for over two months (May 19, 2010-July 11 2010)in an attempt to refinance my mortgage with the company, Aasent never completed the refinance and refuses to return my phone calls or e-mails. At the behest of Senior Mortgage Banker Jonathan Hugger, NMLS# 165296, I paid $350 to AppraiserLoft, a third-party appraiser chosen by Aasent, to have my home appraised on June 22. After paying $350 for the appraisal and submitting multiple personal documents and loan applications to Mr. Hugger, he simply said on June 29 that "Aasent was going out of business" and that he was not longer working there. I tried to contact other Aasent employees, but have been unsuccessful. Now, I'm left with a worthless appraisal that cost me $350, which I purchased because Aasent said that I needed it to complete the refinance, yet the company won't even return my calls or e-mails. I sent a letter and an e-mail to Aasent president William Grand requesting reimbursement for the $350 appraisal since I purchased it at Aasent's behest and the company obviously doesn't intend to even address my situation.

I highly recommend Chris & Aasent Mortgage for any purchase program. Chris was easy to contact and kept me up to date on the progress of the closing. The closing was delayed but it worked in my favor with less closing costs. Overall I had an excellent experience and highly recommend them!

I speak from experience, as my clients were victims of Asscent! As a Realtor, trying to work with Aasent was a total nightmare. They are the most unprofessional lenders I have ever encountered. After 2 months of trying to close, the loan office quit and went to another bank due to how incompetent Asscent is. He then informed us that Aasent could not finance the loan and was "buying time" by creating stall tactics with my client. Do not ever use this company based in Georgia via the Lending Tree, they do not deliver and it will cost you money!

The person I worked with Jonathan Obuseh Senior Mortgage Banker was outstanding. From communication to understanding my needs he was on top of every issue. Even at the last minute as there were some last minute details to iron out Jonathan Obuseh was there for us. Out of our entire experience he was the greatest link. Thanks to Jonathan.

My loan adviser was Jonathan Obuseh. Jonathan is an absolutely outstanding mortgage adviser. I highly recommend Jonathan for anyone looking for a great purchase/re-fi experience along with an even better mortgage rate. Kudos to Aasent for hiring him.

My closing had its shares of ups and downs, but my mortgage agent made it happen. Sean Mcdonald did everything and more to get my house closed not only for me but the seller. He answered or returned phone calls and emails very promptly. Kept me up to date with everthing. Most important of all the money I saved using Aasent! I was very skeptical of using an online mortgage company, but from the first phone call Sean made me feel very comfortable and confident this would work, and it exceeded all expectations I had. Call Aasent and ask for Sean McDonald! Five Stars across the board! Steve Macon, Ga.

A huge thank you to Erik and his team for having the patience in working with me through this refinance and divorce - at the same time I may add! It was a very long and stressful process; the refinance required more paperwork than the divorce it self! In all Erik was extremely positive and vastly knowledgeable in knowing what was required to make this impossible refinance happen. He guided me though it step by step! I highly recommend Erik and his team for any task with a mortgage! Excellent job! Mark

I had a great experience using Erik for my refinance! He took over from Keith and got us to close within my targeted date. Thank you to the underwriters for working with us on the appraisal issues. We got them corrected quickly! I highly recommend Erik as Mortgage Banker to use, he is very smart and knows how to get the job completed as promised!

I've been looking at refinancing, but not finding the benefit I was hoping for. Sean McDonald gave me honest, sound advice as well as tools and information to help me negotiate with my current mortgage holder. I appreciate integrity in today's climate and I would recommend him to anyone.

I researched a Mortgage company to refinance with through Lending Tree and chose Aasent. Sean Mcdonald was the best loan advisor I have ever used. He was honest, delivered what he promised and got me into a great loan that I am very happy with and didn't charge me outlandish fees to do so. If I ever need another loan he will be the person that I go to.

We had a lot of false starts in trying to refinance our ARM with various banks. We found Assent through Lending Tree and they quickly distinguished themselves from the rest of the brokers we met there. We worked with two brokers and were very pleased. Jonathan Hugger helped us close and was very responsive whenever we had questions.

I recently refinanced my home loan through Aasent Mortgage Corporation and was completely satisfied. I worked with Loan Advisor Sean McDonald from start to finish. Sean was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. He made the loan process pleasant and stress-free. I will definitely look to Sean and Aasent for future loan needs.

Avoid brokers altogether. I had a perfect mortgage package that any bank in america would have easily approved without skipping a beat, and Aasent failed to get the job done. They wasted my time, the should have known up front if there was going to be a hitch, they took non refundable money, and they blew a great rate for me. 60 days later I was closing...no problem with a BANK! A real BANK! Unfortunately the rates were higher at that time.
