My husband spoke to a representative, told him our plans and where our property was located - making sure to let him know it was a wooded lot. A quote was given of 600.00. A date was set for the survey, my husband took off, the surveyor showed up ...and told us our property lines were 'all messed up', and the price to fix them in our wooded area would be 1600.00 --for 2 1/4 acres - or we could get our neighbor's survey and he could work from there. Very disappointed. I expected more professionalism. When one gives a quote, it should be relatively range appropriate and given the website, I expected experience enough to be able to quote a semi-accurate quote, but from 600.00 to 1600.00....well, I guess he decided he didn't want to walk our woods for anything near the quoted price. I'd have respected honesty over quote jacking.

I was referred to this surveying co by my fence contractor and hired Tony over the phone. After I did, my neighbor recommended I check them out on the GA Secretary of State site to make sure they are licensed. I didn't have a last name of the surveyor so e-mailed him for either his license # or last name. He e-mailed back saying "I learned many years ago to be wary of clients requesting license numbers. To that end, I am not interested in surveying your property." Any professionally licensed company that doesn't want to give their licence info, especially after they have been hired for a job, is wasting your time. I don't know what his game is, but suggest you don't bother with this company.
