Action Door

I have been a customer of Action Door for the last 15 years (when I first had my springs replaced) and I feel lucky to have found them. Every time I call them I get the same nice lady who is really knowledgeable about garage doors and openers. Just like a previous reviewer posted, she will walk you through a minor adjustment if it is one you can do (saving me a service call and time!). No hard sell here. I've twice now thought I had a dead opener and needed to replace it, but the service rep did his magic and fixed it for a lot less money (and made the door run a lot smoother too!). My 20 year old door and opener are actually running better than my neighbor's brand new one that he had installed by one of those big, impersonal companies. If you want a company that shows up when they say they will, fixes it on the first visit, and has very competitive prices: this is your company.

I can't say enough good things about this company! I've been using them for 20+ years. They never sell me anything I don't need. They only use the best equipment. The girl in the office has walked me through adjustments so I can avoid a service call. When a service call is necessary, they always fix the problem in one trip. I've never been overcharged. In fact, I've been talked out of replacing my door and opener. In my opinion, they've always been honest and done what's best for me.

If you have these people work on your garage door, make sure they install the photo-eye sensor. Your children or pets could be at risk. I used them because they had their sticker on the opener in my house, and I wish I had not.

The price was very high, I think because they knew it was an insurance job. Let me offer you a hint: price out a new opener at Home Depot or Lowes so you know how much the materials cost.

I would not do business with them again.

I have used Action Door on three occasions. They certainly aren't the biggest in town, but I have found them to be very knowledgeable and reliable. They show up on time, and they get the job done efficiently. They're very friendly, and always quick to provide tips or information to help keep your garage doors and openers trouble free. The cost is always reasonable. You should have no qualms about having these folks work on your garage doors.
