This company offered a deal on Livingsocial for $99 that included install a baiting system. When I called to get the system installed, the guy came out and told me that he could not do it because I had an active infestation. It would cost me $300 for him to get rid of the termites that were in one board. He said that after I paid, he would give me an appointment to come back out to spray. I ask why it was necessary to pay first. He said that if I waited, I would have to pay COD when they came to do the job. He was extremely rude. He said that he could not install the system since I had the infestation. I called RAI and was told that I had no active infestation. Don't waste your time or money on Active.

This whole company is a disgrace. I wrote a review regarding another location, but this location is connected to the one I worked with. It is interesting that all of the positive reviews are by people who have not reviewed ANY other companies. They look staged to me. I saw it before because my old employer did the same thing. The other negative review is by a real person. I would avoid Active Pest Control, and any other subsidiaries. They overcharge, and miss significant

Had Active do initial termite treatment at our house which had minor infestation. They did a great job and fair price. They always come regularly to inspect the bait stations without having to be reminded.

I had a different pest control company and they were never able to eliminate my ant problem. We switched to Active and have been ant free since! When a few ants dare enter my house, I call active and they promptly come and take care of it. Active also did a great job with a huge spider infestation in my basement. They laid out a plan and came over and treated several times until the spider were gone. Friendly technicians and easy scheduling. Love them!
Active won my loyalty when I thought I had termites a couple of years ago. My rep rushed to my house that SAME evening to check what I thought was evidence of termites. After he took a look he set my mind a ease because he was able to tell that it was not termite damage. What great customer service!!! I was really impressed by his concern!
APC failed to charge our credit card in a timely manner, b/c their serviceman wrote the number down incorrectly. after months of trying to contact them about the error, my husband was contacted for the correct card number. after giving it to them for the second time, our card was still not charged. when they finally charged our card, we let them know that we wanted to cancel b/c of the hassle and poor service. shortly after, we came home to find a new bill and outstanding balance. we had to pay to get out of our contract and the billing person was super-rude. bad APC, bad.
