Contract Rip Off! I was not told about a lock in contract I signed up, but when i wanted to cancel the services, they have sneaky exit fee. A business should keep its customers by providing good service not sneaky contracts. I am a victim of the sneaky contract by Active Home Solutions pest control. When I signed up for a termite service through an advertisement, I was told about the pest control service. So I wanted to give it a shot and paid the initial cost. But I did not need it, so I called to cancel the service before it renewed. But a man named Billy Woods bulled me saying I am trying to bully them by saying I was not satisfied with their service. I was not told of any contract for the pest control, I only wanted to give it a shot and when i wanted to cancel the service they want to rip me off with a $90 charge. Do not, i repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANTED TO BE CORNERED AND RIPED OFF!

This organization with, multiple business units (i.e. pest control, wildlife, home solutions) is lacking qualified leadership at every level. "Professionals" are sent out to "valued customers" grossly under trained, and deal with the brunt of the backlash that any intelligent customer (paying money for a service) is ultimately going to dish out. Customers are nothing more than a number, and if you have a damage guarantee... don't be surprised if they find a way out of it. Employees are undervalued and treated like children, in FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. The VP of Sales will have you wanting to shower after you meet with him. The owner is a passive, transactional, "leader" at best... only swooping in to 'close a deal' or threaten employees. Never on the front lines coaching or supporting. The only thing that will save this company for its impending demise is for it to be handed off to a competent, servant leader with high integrity. If you are going to SERVE the public, you must learn to SERVE your most important asset... your people! Get a clue. The way to compete in this economy is to exceed your customers expectations... and all "Active" does is actively make fools of themselves. There are pest control and home solution companies on every corner. Call a different one!

These guys are asking for a class action suit. They harassed me when I didn't renew their service. I recorded over 100 calls on my phone. I eventually called them back to ask them to stop sending me "past due" bills for something I didn't sign up for. They politely told me that the bill was not past due at all. That was just their way of scaring people into renewing.

Absolutely horrible. Luckily it did not cost me anything. I have ACTIVE termites and need treatment ASAP and called to setup an inspection and estimate. Spoke with Benny and he made an appointment for 8:30am. I told him I had another company coming for an estimate at 10:30 so he must be complete and gone. He assured me that wouldn't be a problem because I was on a basement. Well today at 9:15 I called the Active Pest Control office and they put me through to Benny. He said he was in a meeting until 9:00 but could come out at 12:00. Needless to say I told him don't bother. If that is the service you get before you are a customer on a contract I can only imagine the service after they have your money. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

This company also goes by the name Active Home Solutions, but if you try to complain, Active Pest Control claims they do not associate with Active Home Solutions. I had a home inspection done about 3 years ago with them and was told I had "minor" electrical work that needed to be done. When an electrician came to look at it after I bought the home, I was told it would be $6000. Uh....that is far from minor. I tried to complain but the guy who did it was incredibly rude. I tried to file a complaint with BBB and Active Home is not listed on there. Active Pest is with the SAME address and phone number. The response from Active Pest was threatening because they said they do not have a company under the name Active Home Solutions. FRAUD! They hide behind different names to escape complaints. I was disgusted with them. If you want poor, dishonest service then go ahead and call. But otherwise, I would avoid at all costs.

I used to work for Active Pest control for a few years. Besides the fact that it is a poorly run company, headed by unqualified people, they are drastically understaffed. As a Termite Technician, I was forced to skimp on chemicals during termite control applications. This was because I was literally scheduled to be at 4 different locations at once. If I missed a treatment and failed to collect money due, it was made clear it would be at the cost of my job. If the customers were not home, I would have to use about 1% of the chemical necessary for the treatment in order to save time and get to the next appointment. Customers were basically paying me for nothing. We would give them a warranty with their service... But if they ever got termites, they would get so sick of us giving them the run around, that they would just fix the damage themselves and cancel service with us. It was just cheaper for the customers to do this than hire a lawyer and sue us. Unfortunately, the owner of Active knows this and they continue to business in this manner.

My husband and I started using this service because of a discount we received through his company. We get our discount through purchasing gift certificates at a reduced rate. After the last service, I sent in the gift certificates and they were either lost in the mail or at the offices. When I called in about it, the person I spoke to was EXTREMELY rude, would not discuss it. She told me it was my fault and we needed to pay them again. She refused to transfer me to a manager or converse at all. She repeatedly told me I was wrong and that doesn't happen. We are switching to another service, the discount is not worth being treated so poorly. I would definitely not recommend this service. We used to have Arrow and will probably go back to them.
