Let me begin by saying that I typically take my boys to Adrenaline once every few months and will probably continue to do so because I always keep a close eye on them when they are climbing. On this occurrence, I observed another two unattended children climbing (one belaying the other). One of the children slipped off the wall and his harness caught him, but the force caused the child that was belaying him to fly up into the air leaving both kids stuck by their ropes. The boys both began to scream for help, but the attendant at the counter just sat and ate his lunch. Another employee began to walk over, but did not appear to be in a hurry. I was belaying my child at the time and had to quickly lower him to rescue the other children. Had I not been present to tell the boy to not pull the lower lever all the way back (like he was about to do), the situation could have ended with one or both of the boys going to the hospital. While I cannot and should not blame this on the employees, I do believe a less relaxed attitude needs to be given off when working with people's safety.

We recently had a Cosmic Climbing Party for my soon to be 10 year old. Boy was it fun!!! The staff were great and energetic. The kids loved climbing, but ultimately, the tire swing was the best part to them. We had the place to ourselves and the kids felt the freedom to climb without strangers watching. And under black light, fears were eased. They did a nice job of decorating the mezzanine. I had to order 1 more pizza and the price was very reasonable.

I have an unlimited climbing pass at Adrenaline so I climb there a lot. I pay just $43 a month and am getting better, funner workouts than I ever got at my old gym. I have climbed alongside 5 year old kids, teenagers, and 50 year olds; complete novices to people who have been climbing their entire lives. Climbing is something anyone can do if they're willing to give it a chance, and I couldn't recommend a better place to get started than Adrenaline Climbing.
