I tried to trade a beretta 9mm Nano (only fired two times) for a used Ruger 380 LCP (which they had 8 in the case. I even chose the least expensive..$259. They wouldn't budge. They were only willing to give me $175 cash or $200 trade. They could've made $100, at the least.

They have every gun made in one place , like 10000 or something ! there is a shooting range to try before you buy even . Also they have a custom gunsmith shop that does amazing work . Love this store !

Plain and simple, they violate their own policies. After 4 days with a scope, I was not satisfied with it and tried to exchange it for a more expensive model. I was told that, if it was mounted, I can't return it. Their receipt and posted policies state nothing to that effect. It was undamaged and in perfect condition but I couldn't even get store credit for it. The last time I came in I was told that I had to have the packaging for a defective product or they wouldn't accept it and it took a call to the manufacturer, in the store, to get it exchanged. Also, I was told the could send a damaged BX-25 magazine to Ruger for a $25 charge. The magazine costs $30 retail!! I am NEVER coming back and warn everyone to be cautious about their shopping here. All said and done I'm out about $200 in defective products that they would take back.

I have 20 years of Military and S.W.A.T. service. Went to this business to but a Colt 1911 .45 ... Was informed that I needed to change my selection to a Springfield .45 since it was better than a Colt...Come to find out they where out of Colts but, had 5 Springfields..!!!! The salesman had no tactical background and was carrying a Colt Himself... Really..!!!!! Talk about just trying to make a sale... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE>>!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought 3 Glocks in 2 month's from them and they treat me like they could care a less about me. The people behind the counter don't know anything and act like you are bothering them.. I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from them EVER.. I order all my ammo & cleaning supplies online now..

The short version: Their prices are good, and the sales personnel are generally helpful if you can manage to catch the attention of one (they are woefully understaffed) - but I would only buy a gun if it is in stock in the future. The long version: Their after-sale service, however, is the reason for the low rating. I came into the store in mid January looking to purchase a specific pistol. It was not in stock. No big deal, i'll see if they can order a new one. The sales rep said they have a great relationship with this manufacturer and quoted 2-3 weeks, a month tops, as a delivery time. A month went by. I gave it another week, and phoned for an update. I was told it's a special order, and normally comes in 30-60 days. Ok, still not a big deal. Once 60 days were up, I asked for another update, and was told someone would get back to me. I heard nothing for a week. I contacted them again, was told someone would get back to me again. No one did. At the 3 month mark, and several weeks past the last time I was promised that someone would call me, I went into the store to get my money back (did I mention I paid in full up front?). The cashier said "it should be here any day now" ... which after my previous experience, I found hard to believe.

I have dealt with businesses that are solely concerned with taking your money with complete disregard for the customer, but this place is the ultimate champ! First is their deceptive practice of placing the lowest, discount price on item price tags, and advertisements, then marking up 3% for credit card purchases. Should be the other way around - mark items with the higher price, then discount for cash. This markup policy of theirs is illegal in many states. Secondly, don't EVER order an item that is not in stock, and their website doesn't even tell you if it's available in stock or not. They will proceed to take your money and give you a "It'll take 3-4 weeks to arrive". I recently made this foolish mistake of ordering though them, was told 3-4 weeks and after doing some research, found out the two guns I ordered had an 8-12 week wait time from other gun stores and websites. And last but not least, their refund policy - if you find your desired merchandise elsewhere, and want to cancel your order, you must wait 30 days for a refund. And that refund is cash only, they will not issue a credit on your card if that was your means of purchase. When I requested a refund I had to wait around the store until a cashier had collected enough currency through ongoing sales to give me my return refund. Needless to say, I'll never step foot in this store again, nor recommend anyone else do so, having been the victim of such unethical business practices.

I went in yesterday and purchased a Glock 19. I had read the previous reviews and was prepared to wait and be ignored. The prices were better than everyone else so I could put up with a little wait. I didn't even make it back to the gun counter before a sales guy asked me if I needed any help. He showed me the 19 & 17. I had already done my research and had decided on those 2. They advised me in advance that there was a $5 charge for the background check and 3% would be added for a credit card. At checkout no problems, info added and purchase approved. In and out in about 20 minutes. I would go there again.

WARNING ! What they don't tell you is that they charge a $5.00 background check fee. You wont know this until you pay and then they tell you its required by law. This is not required and is a no cost service to them. Then they tell you that you WILL receive a 3% discount for paying with cash. Wrong! They add 3% to the sticker if you use plastic... They also make you pay for the gun before the background check. I realized I was being screwed so I wanted my money back and they charged me $10.00 more to refund my money... WHAT???? I had to wait an hour for someone to enter the code so I could receive my money back minus my $15.00 of course. I went in to buy a gun and left an hour and a half later empty handed and less 15 bucks. For the first time in my life I felt like a victim...

Went in to buy a gun and waited 45 minutes to be helped finally asked someone if they were keeping track on who to serve next and the guy looked at me and asked me if i was buying today. i told him it depended on what i like and how much it costs.He walked away. Got another person and he completed the paper work. by this time i was there an hour and 15 minutes. went too the cashier. she was as rude as they come and she saw a flaw in the paperwork that their salesperson did. I had to go back to the counter wait for the sales person and refill the form. i went back to the casher and after the transaction the person that checks out the sale at the end was so rude. that he and the cashier started commenting on my deal while I was still standing there-two feet from them!!! Can you believe these rednecks??? I will never spend my hard earned money at that store ever again. I do some research on the internet after I got back and would you believe that -ADVENTURE OUTDOORS WAS SUED BY THE STATE OF NEW YORK FOR SELLING STOLEN GUNS !!!!.There you have it, had I known this earlier I would have never bought anything there. This is clearly a backyard,redneck operation that got lucky and makes money. They are racist and I urge colored folk to stay away from this place because they will only treat you badly.besides they only cater to white folks anyway. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. SOMEONE NEEDS TO OPEN A GUN STORE ACROSS AND PUT THIS THING OUT OF BUSINESS.

Went here to actually purchase a gun and couldn't get a sales person so I went elsewhere. The store wasn't even busy. I did buy ammo and the checkout girl was nice. Too bad the sales persons don't have common customer service skills.

I had a good expierence. I went in and got a very good deal on a used gun, most of the people I talked to had good knowledge of the trade. One individual was very helpful finding what I wanted within my price range. Ask for Bill. The place was very busy and so the wait would have frustrated me but luckily I was not in a hurry, be prepared to wait.

They sold me the wrong gun. I noticed it 2 hours later and called them. They would not give me a refund, and didn't have the gun I needed. I bought 3 from them that day and had purchased 2 before. It didn't matter, no refund. I hope they enjoy that money, I'll tell everyone I know what to expect from them customer service wise. How hard is it to own up to your own mistake and make it right?

I couldn't make it before closing on a sale so I called and asked if I could reserve the items (with credit card) at the sale price for pickup the next day. They flat out told me 'NO' and would do nothing to help me out. End result unhappy customer and 2 items probably still in their inventory. Attitudes like that make me very hesitant to purchase anything from these folks...
