I just wanted to take the time to thank
I just wanted to take the time to thank Aesthetics Northwest for giving me the tools and knowledge to succeed in the exciting world of skin care. I am currently employed at a dermatology practice in Kirkland. I am glad to report that I got this job as an Esthetician in approximately one month after graduation. Aesthetics Northwest Institute has not only prepared me for my WA State exams but it also prepared me for the real world in regards to the skin care industry. The teachers at this institution are paramount and the skills they instill in the students are immeasurable. I had the pleasure of having Ms. JoAnne. as my main teacher and I appreciate her so much for sharing her wisdom. It was especially interesting to find out after I graduated Aesthetics Northwest, that some of the particular bits of knowledge passed on to me from Ms. JoAnne( that at the time I may have dismissed as ""unrelated,"") suddenly became ever so relevant. I feel that as I continue to grow in this field, I will always value the skills, support and philosophies that I gained at Aesthetics Northwest.Working as an Esthetician is a very rewarding job and your love of people should be what motivates you. It is an exciting field that is always growing and advancing. I am certain that I will continue to learn, gain confidence in my abilities and adapt to new technologies, modalities and trends in the skin care industry. Thank you again everyone at Aesthetics Northwest for helping me strive to be the best esthetician I can be.

Piece Of Crap School!
Skip this school. I read the other bad reviews on here & they are true. I toured the school & this place is a dump! You walk in, it's dark & I don't mean no lights, I mean in the sense that there is a coldness, no warmth or good vibes at all. The color of the place is kinda dark, not very uplifting or happy colors, it's depressing. I talked with Vincent, the owners son in his office & it reeked of mold! The place is not clean looking & all the furniture, lights, etc. are very old looking, junky. Some thing's actually look broken & torn. The pedi station is a joke! They don't have actual pedi chairs like you expect. The station is old 70's looking random chairs for clients. The student has a wheel around seat but also has to fill up plastic basin tubs for pedicures. They looked scruffy and dirty. That is gross! Plastic holds bacteria longer for 1 & 2, that is hard to fill up & lug around & 3, why not invest in REAL pedi chairs with the built in whirlpool foot soakers? They take your money & don't put it back into this place. & it would also be beneficial for students to learn on real pedi spa stations since that's what they will be using after they graduate & start working. So he gives me the tour.He goes over the costs of tuition & things & then tells me, the first 4 Saturday's a new student starts school, on all of those Saturday's I must bring a friend or family member with me to do 2 different sets of nails on. The first person comes the 1st Saturday & gets a gel set, then comes back in 2 weeks for a fill. The 2nd person comes the next Saturday & gets an acrylic set & then comes back in 2 weeks for their fill. But this is only after 4 days of class people! Since this is the first time for students putting nails on, these poor people you have to bring & poor students too cause this is torture, but that person has to sit there for 6 hours to get it done! Saturday class is 9-3. I asked why do they have to be here all day?He actually got quite snippy & rude & raised his

Worst Place Ever
DON'T GO TO THIS SCHOOL unless you want the following:1. An OWNER that is so rude and arrogant she talks down to you as if you are nothing, yes, this includes adults, OK, she's 80 something and in desperate need of updating her own education. 2. The owners son who is also arrogant, not friendly and holds your paperwork over your head as a control issue. 3. Only one other instructor who although is a nice person, knows little about today's new techniques and products not to mention proper sanitation procedures they know nothing about or practice. THIS school is stuck 20 years in the past. You can learn more on Youtube or from a good nail tech. They also will talk down about other schools and make themselves look better. Do not waste your time here. It's sad to pay all that money and have to learn and teach yourself how to do nails. I do not believe for 1 second the positive reviews on their web site or this one. They ask people to write positive reviews but there is not much positive here. Do a filtered search for a post from Vincent M. 8/1/2011, a total lie. He is the owners son who works there. I truly do not believe any of these positive reviews.

Thanks Aesthetics Northwest
I attended Aesthetics Northwest, in January 2011. I can speak only from my personal experience, and Aesthetics Northwest changed my life. I am a firm believer that every lesson is what you make of it. Going into any school, there will be high stress days and days of fun learning. Number one: school is to learn and better yourself. I knew when I walked into Aesthetics Northwest, it was my choice and I was ready to challenge myself as an Esthetician and individual. So in this case, I walked in with open arms and I was ready to give my all I did! And it was one of the best decisions I have made!!! Aesthetics Northwest introduced me to the technical side of Esthetics, the business world of how the industry works and how to become the qualified professional you want to be. I was taught from teachers that are the best in the industry. I was there to learn every day, and I gave my best. It was well worth the hard work and I am a better Esthetician for it. I went with every intention of learning as much as I could, yet on top of learning Esthetics, I left with friends that have touched my life in such a changing positive light. I continue these friendships and feel grateful. When you are looking at schools, go with your heart and be sure to go for the right reasons. Being an Esthetician is hard work. It's about putting all your efforts, working on your craft constantly, being able to adapt and take critique's to become better. I chose this career because I've always been a giving person, it is in my blood. I also knew the work behind it would be well worth it. I got my first job 2 weeks after graduation, and I love it. School prepared me to be a professional

What A Wonderful Institution!!
I was looking for a school for skin care for awhile. I searched the internet & I saw the Aesthetics Northwest Institution. When I was going to my facialist in California I remember seeing her diploma on the wall and she was a graduate from the Aesthetics Northwest Institute. I thought she was so educated & thats when I realized this was the institution I wanted to attend. So when I moved to Seattle I immediately went to meet JoAnne and her educated staff, I very impressed by all of their knowledge. Now After only 4 months I am almost a graduate , I had such a wonderful experience, I met such incredible people, I gained a lot of knowledge, & confidence especially. The instructors are the best, they really know how to help you understand everything you need to know to be a successful esthetician . With the help of JoAnne & her staff I feel that I can finish the esthetic 600 hours course with top grades. The best part is having The Aesthetics Northwest Institution on my resume (which is such a legend in the skin care industry), I have already been offered a job in the medical field with a dermotolgist. I am so excited to be in this industry of beauty . I would reccommend this school to everyone who wishes to pursue a career and become very educated in the beauty industry. \r
