Affordable Plumbing and Septic

My whole experience with this organization was very professional. From setting up the appointment on 6/24,to keeping me notified of the technician's arrival status, to his arrival and timely repair of my faucet, they really executed well. I feel like I got a good value and quality - repair vs. replace - from a skilled plumber. Thanks, Bernard!

I chose Affordable because of their great ratings on Kudzu. I called around before and got a quote from a competitor of $165 for a thermocouple replacement. I thought it was a little high. So I called Affordable and they offered to send someone out for a free estimate, hoping to get it lower. After taking a look the plumber quoted $230! I told him I had a lower quote and he offered to bring it down to $175, but I just wanted it done and the plumber knew it. I could have called the other plumber out to save $10 but I also felt bad for the guy at my home.

A Thermocouple is a $10 part and it took 20 minutes to install. At most something like that should have been $100, but I think they take advantage of the situation.

David, the plumber, was very nice, professional and did a great job as far as I can tell, I have hot water. But I certainly don't think they are AFFORDABLE.

When your base price ($230), discounted price (10% OFF=$207) and final price ($175) are still higher than your competitor's quoted price ($165) then you, sir, are not AFFORDABLE. I didn't make up those numbers. What's unfair is coming out and then quoting a high price because you can do the job right then. Hopefully next time they will be wise enough to turn you away.

Also, giving you 20 minutes for travel to and back, that's 1 hour of labor, at your rates is over $200/hr!!! My understanding is $90-100 is already a lot.

And don't worry, I won't be a customer again.

Affordable Plumbing And Septic is the most unreliable plumbing servicer I've dealt with. They missed two scheduled appointments and never arrived to do the work. Once Rick from APS called to explain why, he recommended using another local plumbing service. I recommend you take their advice as well.

I can't help but give these guys five stars. Adrian really took care of me and i will definitely use them when it comes time for my next project. Honest and knowledgeable and aiming to please what more can you ask for?

We have a older home and one Saturday afternoon we noticed that the basement was leaking from the ceiling. I checked it out and noticed it was leaking from the waste water return and naturally thought the pipe was busted. After calling many plumbers in the area to no avail, I was able to get a hold of Affordable Plumbing and Septic and they came out within a few hours, fixed my problem, explained exactly what was wrong, cleaned up after, and did a very professional and quick job. I have since recommended them to a few friends and will be adding them to my neighborhood list of preferred contractors. I highly recommend these guys. It is rare to get great service nowadays. Good job!
