Kind, Caring, Thorough, 5/19/2014

Due to all of the tests that Dr. Ahmad orders that so many others seem to complain about, she found I had cancer very early and I am still around 10 years later! I owe Dr. Ahmad my life.

NOT HELPED, 8/28/2008

I have been seeing Dr Ahmad for almost 2 years trying to get my hypothyroidism under control. She orders LOTS of tests and tells you nothing, you sit in her office for a minimum of 2 hours, you see... her for 30 seconds and she is very short and uninformative. She does have a very wonderful staff, they are the only reason I kept going back. I am switching Dr.s.

unorganized & over booked

My appt was at 10:00am so I got to the office 30 min prior. It was 1pm when I finally got to see the Dr. Office is very, very unorganized and no matter when u call, they can never find my file so I have to keep calling back because they NEVER return your call. Office was required to get a pre approval from my insurance company but after a week of waiting, office STILL has not call to get an approval. When I require about it, Elain try to blame it on my insurance company's delay. She didn't realize that I call them already. She changed the story and said i was NOT the only patient and it will get it done whenever. Dr. wants me to have a test right away but won't happen if the office doesn't call!! I guess they couldn't care less. Stay away from this Dr. if u want a quality care!

NOT impressed

Very nicely kept my wife coming back each month for more tests... more tests... more tests. Once diagnosed she didn't help at all, just kept doing more tests. When we finally got a chance to get into a program at NIH for Cushing (which by a miracle was able to take care of the problem) and need our doctors referral - she told us "I don't do paperwork." POOR patient service when it doesn't involve her! [Luckily my wife was accepted into the program anyway. After 5 years of recovery she is doing well - thanks to NIH and its staff in Bethesda, Maryland - A VERY LUCKY FIND!]
