Air Plus Heating & Cooling

Jim came and consulted with me and gave me some options for issues with my AC/furnace. Due to my house not having the best floor plan for air flow, top option would be to replace the furnace with a variable speed fan that could be left on when needed to improve airflow; however, due to being extremely constrained with finances due to other issues with the house, we decided not to do that at this time. However, Jim noticed that there was an issue with my thermostat and replaced it fairly cheaply to improve efficiency as somewhat of a "bandaid" until I can get the entire furnace replaced. I have noticed a huge difference already in both the noise level of the furnace (new thermostat controls having fan and heating starting at alternating periods whereas the old one turned on everything at once) and also in efficiency (new thermostat turns the fan on one more cycle after the heat is off to clear out the heat from the ductwork). My old furnace is on it's last leg and I really want to improve the airflow in my house, so I'm sure I'll be replacing it soon, but I was really impressed with Jim's honesty about what my options were and that he wasn't just trying to sell me on the most expensive option for a quick sell. Once I'm ready to replace the full furnace, Air Plus will definitely be at the top of my list.

I was VERY impressed with Air Plus! I had appointments with 3 companies scheduled to get quotes for a new furnace and air but after meeting wtih Kim, I cancelled the other two. She started with asking me how I use my heat and air, and guided me in choosing a system that would work for me and it was much cheaper than what I expected.
Jim and his crew were fabulous-neat, polite and most important, on time. It was a pleasure to work with them. If you are looking for a new system, you found the right company.

Air Plus Heating & Cooling is a great company to work with. Kim came to our house and explained the different options and Jim did a good job with install. I highly recommend them. They are honest and do a good job.

Air Plus Heating & Cooling is excellent in every way. I highly recommend them. Jim and Kim are very knowledgeable about their Trane products and the requirements for buildings. They are honest, reliable, and fairly priced. Jim installed a new high efficiency furnace in my daughter’s home and upgraded the ducting and vent system. In my home, Jim repaired and made safe my one-year-old high efficiency central heating and air conditioning units that were not installed properly by another company. He took pictures of the inferior workmanship: leaking gas pipes, improperly placed ducting, inadequate air return box, incorrect wiring, short drain line, inadequate platform and safety pan. He also repaired problems with the thermostats, dipswitch, float switches, Freon, and installed a gas line shut off valve. After repair he gave me the before and after pictures for my file. We will definitely continue to use Air Plus Heating & Cooling for yearly maintenance and all other heating and cooling needs.

I HIGHLY recommend Air Plus. My mother had a bad experience when a different local company installed an expensive new furnace and AC unit with lots of mistakes. Jim was one of three quotes for my job, he was very knowledgable and had a lot more information than the other companies. (No flashy slideshow!) He checked the ducting in the attic - it was rusted (other companies had said it was fine). When he took it out it was indeed VERY rusted. He fixed the vents so all the rooms heat equally. The system is PERFECT!!! Our electric bill went from $200 in the winter to $75!!! WOW!! Jim then went back to my mother's house and found the mistakes in her new system (e.g. gas leaks, wrong size AC unit for the house, ceiling vents that were actually for the wall and did not disperse heat) - he helped her fix her system too. SUCH a nice, honest, reliable person. I would trust no other and recommend them to anyone who wants the job done properly. Worth every single penny.
