HORRIBLE INCOMPETENT TECHNICIANS, 10/14/2013

AHS has sent this Company to my home six (6) times in the last 5 months to fix my A/C. They have "tried" several "bandaide" fixes and after a week or month, the A/C stops working. This last visit... 10/12/13 it worked for one day and to date, I am without air!!! AHS has had to send another Company out to fix the MESS they have left at my home regarding my A/C. Use them at you own risk!!

Great Experience, 7/26/2013

American Home Shield called this company to fix my air conditioning. I read the bad - but not recent - reviews, and was anxious. Air Max scheduled service the next day, called me an hour before... arrival time in 9 to 5 window like they said they would, and the technician who came was really nice, knowledgeable, and found the problem - a kinked condensate hose causing the pump and system to shut down, as it should - and fixed it. So don't be as worried as I was if this company is the one sent to do your service/repair.

Great Experience

TERRIBLE COMPANY, worst experience ever

We were referred to AirMax by AHS and after them losing two work orders, we were finally able to get them scheduled to come out and almost 3 weeks after our initial problem happened. They ended up coming out on the wrong day... after I had already taken a day off of work to meet them at the house. The dispatcher was aweful and had an even worse attitude, no help at all, and basically said that I was dumb and that it was my fault... The company offered no help what-so-ever and didn't even make an attempt to correct the situation, even after I explained (again) that I have a 2 year old with asthma and being in a 90 degree house was causing her to have health issues. Long story short, this is the single worst experience I've had involving a service company, save yourself the stress and use anyone else than this company. It's now been almost 4 weeks since my AC broke and due to this company it is likely to be at least 2 more before I am able to get it repaired... don't work with these people, stay away from this company

Terrible attitude and customer service

This company was sent by AHS to repair my air conditioning. The service rep. did nothing but complain, about the air conditioner not being shut off long enough, about the prior service company not checking the coils (which they did)they also recommended contacting AHS as they thought the coil needed replacing. The service rep ripped off part of the tape and insulation and undid about 6 screws to the panel. Finally after hearing his complaints go on and on, I told him he did not need to scold me. With that he threw all his equipment into his bag and abandoned the repair and left. I asked him to replace the insulation and tape and he just slapped up a piece of the tape on the panel and stormed out the door. Screws and the rest of the insulation was left laying on the floor. Had to request AHS to send another tech from another company.

Don't Call

Sent to us by home warranty company. They call to say they will be there sometime between 9-5 (Great- a whole day wasted.) The service guy tries to blackmail you into extra services beyond what your warranty will pay for. Then says he has to order that part and will return the day after tomorrow to finish the repair. Once again another day wasted, yet they don't show up. Call to see what the issue is and they say they didn't have us on their schedule and won't be able to come out for three more days. Yet more days wasted waiting on this company and no air. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME

Works with American Home Shield

Came out, diagnosed faulty control line, went back to shop to get American Home Shield approval and then I didn't hear anything else. Called them, found that AHS had denied claim due to 'lack of maintenance' - which wouldn't have had anything to do with the control line. Communications? Very poor. Service? Couldn't say, since nothing was done. They DID bother to call so I knew they were coming out - but that's about it. Your call on whether to call 'em - but I wouldn't. There's too many other HVAC folks who rate better.
