They lose your luggage, 6/10/2011

Our school band program has used the Reno Airport Mini Bus for many years when we attend the Reno Jazz Festival. It has typically been a great company to work with ? on time, safe drivers, etc. ... However, the last time we use them, one of the shuttle buses had a bad catch on the rear luggage door. The driver was stopped soon after leaving the hotel by other drivers telling him that the door had swung open. He stopped and closed it and continued driving to the airport. He was stopped again later by other drivers telling him the door was open and that he had lost a couple of bags of luggage. The luggage was never found and the two students that lost luggage with $800-$1000 worth of items in them, only received compensation of $100 from the company, because ""that was all they were required to compensate by their agreement with the Department of Transportation?. Very disappointing!
