My boyfriend and I both ordered the Posillipo. He got it with marinara sauce and I got mine with white sauce. Each of our dishes had multiple fragments of shell in them, ranging from dime-sized to smaller. We picked several of the pieces out, but my boyfriend did not see a large fragment, nearly choked, and had to spit his food out. At that point both of us lost our appetite, even though we had only eaten a small portion of our meal. When we complained to the manager (also our server), he claimed that any dish with shellfish would have fragments of shell, and that we should be more careful (and yet we have both ordered dishes with shellfish before and have never had this problem). He offered to give us a free dessert but when we declined he attempted to bill us full price for the meal. When we complained again, after arguing with us some more he knocked off the price of one meal and a salad. We were glad he adjusted the price, but we won't go there again due to the fact that we had to argue for something that should have been offered to begin with, and also because we should have never been served food that had been so poorly prepared.

I dined there with a group of 9 on June 1. A waiter refused to honor our coupon because we did not tell him ahead of time that we had one and to make matters worse, he spilled a dinner down the back of one of the diners and made no ammends to her, no check reduction, no offer of dry cleaning. It was not the right thing to do. My group will not go there again, but I have been back with my husband and food was good. service slow and poor, but we sat outside, that could be it.

The food here is great, and the servers are friendly. I had eggplant parmesan that was pretty tasty. They bring out garlic rolls and salad before hand that are great!

I am amazed that more people haven't heard of this truly exquisite restaurant. The atmosphere is serene and romantic and the food is absolutely delicious. My favorite is their lasagna and I have never left the restaurant disappointed. The wait staff goes above and beyond to make your vist special and it is obvious that they do what it takes to earn your business. I recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly.

Nice atmosphere. I would recommend this location for an intimate dinner. Watchout, one of the waiters there will talk your head off if your at the bar, but he is a really nice guy!!

A blind date it was and glad I chose this restaurant. I will recommend this restaurant to others. It was the best Italian I've in a long time. The atmosphere was awesome. Service above average, food quality, temperature of food and over all turnaround time for everything was outstanding. Very romantic!! I'll definitely be patronizing this spot and you should too......

I've never had to wait more than five minutes for a table here. It may be a bit pricy, but the food is top-notch. The service is always very friendly and extremely helpful.

We went there as a family. Kids meal was very expensive... That was the only negative thing. Atomosphere is for more adults. Food was very good and servers were very nice. We thought food and menu selection were very Italian (not like American-Italian).We will bring our out-of-town family members next time.

Under rated, under visited. This place is like a typical Chicago or NYC italian staple. Excellent service and food. Specials every week, it is a real jewel. Visit it on a Friday......no wait and the food is better than Maggianos!

I have never eaten inside Aldo's but I have had take out from their restaurant. I thought the entrees were a bit overpriced but everything I have eaten from here has been very delicious, fresh tasting and served hot. I would definately return. They also offer a large banquet room for large parties or meetings.
