Beware if you plan to order "cake in a jar" to be mailed as a gift. There is no date on anything in the box with the jars of cake, and no instructions at all, particularly instructions that say it should be refrigerated. I called the company today to find out how long "cake in a jar" is edible, and I was told 2 to 3 days unrefrigerated or one week if refrigerated. We have had it a week sitting on the kitchen counter, not counting shipping time (unknown). Someone spent a lot of money (over $30 including shipping) to send us 2 pieces of cake that are inedible. I would give this company minus 5 stars if I could.

It takes a great dessert to make me salivate at the thought of it, let alone make me drive out of my way and get out of my car for the singular purpose of obtaining that dessert. Ali's Cookies makes a dessert that leaves me with that reaction. Most of the time when I seek to indulge my sweet tooth, I settle for a mass-produced product, but when I really want to say thank you to someone or share a memorable experience with a group of people, I stop by Ali's, and therein I obtain a dessert that becomes a part of great memories. The cookies are large, chewy, and the right balance of sweet, salt, and richness that makes one forget that what they are eating should be consumed in moderation. I haven't tried the cookie cakes as of yet, but that will be my birthday request for this year. For the waist-conscious, there is a low-fat cookie available. It was described to me as more like a fruitcake, and I am not a fan of fruitcake, but I tried it anyway, and I would gladly eat another. Before you order online or stop by, know that Ali's Cookies aren't store-bought mass productions, and so they are a bit more costly than what you will find at the corner grocery store, but these cookies are like buying a new Cadillac for the price of a used Pontiac. Whether for holiday gifts, special occasions, or because you feel the urge to indulge, the answer for your sweet tooth can be found at Ali's.

One of our ladies ordered a dozen for her son a Ft. Benning, and Jeff uped the order to 18 at no charge!! They support our troops, make the best cookies on the planet, and are down to earth homefolk!! Who could ask for more!!

I have been getting cookies from this place ever since I was a little kid. The cookie cakes are amazing with all of the hand made chocolates they put on them. They have the best cookies in Atlanta. If you have never tasted these cookies you need to. Once you have you won't buy cookies anywhere else.
