Allergy Associates & Lab., Ltd in Tempe owns about 2.5 acres of land behind the clinic. About 15 years ago Doctor Suresh Anand happened to see a news article concernig Homer Piatt, a retired pilot. Homer, with the help of volunteers, cultivated vacant lands to grow vegetables and fruit to distribute to the hungry. Doctor Anand offered the land behind his office to Homer. Over the years it has been a very successful program. and has helped to feed many people.
