America's Service Station

I have been using this location for a while now. They have always taken care of me, whether it be oil change or tire rotation, and given me excellent service every time. I will def keep going back.

I went to America"s Service Station on Braselton Highway today to have my 1996 Mercury Sable serviced due to an emissions test failure. (The service engine soon light was on because an oxygen sensor needed replacing.) The service I received was courteous, prompt and the waiting area was very clean. (I haven"t received a "pleasant" car repair service experience like this in a long time!!!!) Additionally, I believe the price was comparable to dealership pricing for the part as well as labor. Over the next few days I plan to gauge the car"s performance and expect to pass the emissions re-test. Furthermore, I plan to return this station when the need arises.

I had my oil changed at America Service Station. When they finished, I noticed there was a large pool of oil on the ground. I was told that was not from my car. I pulled into the parking lot next door and checked my oil. There was almost no oil in my car!!!! I later discovered that the filter was not put on properly. When I went back a minute later, I was treated horribly and accused to taking the oil out myself! Are you kidding me? I will NEVER return.

My wife has been taking one of our cars here for the past 2 or 3 years; at first they have only did things like change the oil and other basic tasks.

Last year, the car required a brake job and this is when things went down hill. After the brake job was done, there was a loud wailing sound every time the brake was pressed. Long story short it took 3 more trips and ultimately another $200+ for something they caused.

Recently, the car had an issue with the brake lights not going off even when the brake pedal was not pressed. My wife took it up there again and they wanted over $85 to fix it. I told her that that was too much money and that I would try to fix it myself. After working on it myself, I discovered all that needed to be done was replace the worn out rubber stopper with the spare that was ALREADY in the car behind the brake pedal; No need for a new $35.00 switch or an hour of labor; on top of that, even IF I needed the new switch, the same one sold at Auto Zone for $8.99!!

It took me all but 5 minutes to fix the problem, but they wanted to charge her over $85. They even tried to scare her into staying by saying stuff like driving the car while it was in that "condition" could damage it further and that their warehouse would be closing soon, but I told her not to fall for such scare tactics.

Avoid these people; if not right away, they will eventually try to rip you off. Looks like my wife and I will be finding a new shop for this car.

I highly recommend you avoid this America Service Station as well as the one in Lawrencville, which has the same owner. I had my oil changed there and watched as the oil dumped out on the ground. When I pointed it out, they said it was just condensation. They are incompentant, rude and I will never return.
