I am at a loss for words, service like this is not supposed to a reality. I brought my car to Joe after leaving the mercedes dealership and being told by mercedes that I would need a new hub and assembly bearing new parking brake assembly and new e-brake springs and that I would have to pay $1300. However Joe found that there was nothing major wrong with my brakes and actually fixed the minor problem for free. He called and said he had good news and bad news. The good was that they fixed the brakes for free. The bad was that I needed new tires. Well I already knew about the tires so all my news from American Brakes Services was great!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once again, I had a very pleasurable experience. I went in to have my front brake pads replaced and rotors resurfaced. After Joe looked at it, he said I didn't need any work done on these ...I should have a least 8-9000 miles left to go on the pads. I almost insisted that he do the work, but he convinced me it wasn't necessary at this time. He did recommend exchanging the brake fluid, balancing and rotating the tires, which I did. Instead of a $150 brake job, he only let me spend $65 dollars. Wonder if you'd get that kind of honesty at Just For Brakes.....not! I will go back to see Joe at American Brake Service when I rack up those 9000 miles! I will never let anyone else touch my cars...I've finally found the honest mechanic that everybody searches for. Great work Joe.

My first experience was amazing as ABS evaluated my brake issue and gave me so many options on how to fix it, being mindful of my budget and the value of the car. Each time my husband and I take our car back they are just as nice as the first time and give stellar service.

Needed front brakes on my wife's 2003 RAV4. Visited American Brake based on KUDZU.com reviews. Got an honest quote and the work was performed quickly and professionally. Would recommend as a competent service organization.

First, I must say that ABS is by far one of the best and quiest automotive service centers I have ever seen. I came in on a Friday (when it was extremely busy) and got my brakes done on my Nissan Maxima. Trust me when I tell you Joe and his staff were wonderful--even the receptionist/mechanic that worked on my vechicle. As a female, driving alomst 25 miles, quality and customer service is my top priority and I will definitely be bringing my car(s)here again. Thanks Joe and Thanks ABS.

I took my car into the shop for brake service and they took me home, installed the brakes, and then picked me back up again. They also told me about a coupon so that I received a free oil change (which I needed). I have never had such great service! These are the guys that would make the guys on Car Talk proud.

It is rarely a pleasure getting a vehicle repaired, but ABS is an exception. The friendly, knowlegeable personnel and their desire to insure that I am completely satisfied is a refreshing change to the usual hassle of getting quality, reliable auto service.

I read the reviews. Drove for Lithonia, GA to get brake work done on my 2003 Nissan Altima. I needed to urgently drive to Ohio early the next morning, so I need great service..and quick. And that's exactly what I received. I received the best car service that I have ever recevied in my life. They explained and broke down everything that they where charging me for. NO SURPRISES. Being a women, and going to get your car maintenanced, you ALWAYS expect surprises. But not here. They put on top of the line brakes and rotter on all 4 wheels at a great price. I was very pleased. Just a team of great guys. I will continue to drive across town to get my car maintenanced. Brigittee

Who hasn't had a bad experience in auto repairs? After reading the review on the Pontiac from 12/17/2007, I may have been concerned, I too have had many bad experiences with auto repair. But the overwhelming number of good reviews beckoned at least a phone call. I called ABS, spoke with a couple of the guys there, even asking about the Pontiac customer. ABS offered their side of the story with no bad feelings toward the Pontiac owner. I felt good about giving them a try. While at the shop other customers were coming in, some established and others first-timers like myself. The shops treatment of everyone was very personal. They seem to recognize the value of good service. In the end, my bill was very reasonable, no exorbitant parts or labor fees. I live in Smyrna, so these guys weren't just around the corner. It was the good reviews that made my decision to take the 30-minute drive to their location. It was well worth it. Thanks Mac and Joe! I will absolutely be back.

A.B.S. dismantled the engine of my '83 Pontiac and then misdiagnosed the problem with the engine. They kept the vehicle for 90-days and then called me to inform me that the engine needed to be replaced in actuality it was simply the lifters. So I had the vehicle moved to location out in Canton in which the mechanic properly diagnosed the engine problem, provided me with a quote and informed me of the warranty I would get. Up to this point I have been taking my other vehicles to A.B.S. in which I have dealt with Mac Crawford. He is an excellent mechanic and gives it to u straight. However, on this particular vehicle Mac was not available so I ended up communicating with the owner of A.B.S. who was not knowledgeable of this type of car and simply did not want to deal with it after his mechanics had dismantled the engine!

We at ABS did the diagnosis and Mac told the customer that it was the lifters, but we would recommend doing a camshaft aswell. In order to do this the engine would need to be pulled. In this case we recomended getting a new engine because the cost would be very close. we told the customer we would not be able to warranty the work unless the camshaft was replaced as well in case the lifters where not the only problem. The customer could not afford the labor and since we would not warranty just the lifters, he towed it to another shop. we are sorry if there was a miscommunication. Thank you, ABS
I just took my Toyota 1997 Corolla today to American Brake Services and this is by far hands down the best car repair experience I have ever had in 20 years. Mac was professional, friendly and honest. I thought I needed a brake job as I have 130,000 miles on my car and he said no, the brakes are in great shape and all you need is an adjustment of the rear brakes. I was amazed and totally surprised! I will take my Toyota here from now on and highly recomend this car repair shop for all of your autor repair needs as they are professional, friendly and completely honest!

Joe replaced the brakes on my Land Rover. I have to say it has been the best experience I have ever had at a car service center. He was friendly and knowledgable. He gave me options and didn't just try to charge me as much as he could. I will be taking my vehicle back there for all my repairs.

Honest auto repair shop can often be an oxymoron. But not with Joe and his crew. They have always given me an honest assessment of what I needed and always did exactly what they said at the quoted price. Would recommend anyone use Joe and his team.

I had brake issue on my Honda, and had got quotes from multiple auto care shops. I was quoted astronomical rates and wasnít given specifics as to what is needed and what will be done. When you see a "big" amount on labor, you really wonder what the deal is. At ABS, i got a call back within an hour, to tell me what the problem was, what needs to be done, what additional things could be done to improve the life of my brakes and the low cost associated with it, about a promotional offer, and what all of it will cost me. to top it off the total cost was extremely reasonable, to say the least. The in store experience was fantastic too, with a quick form to fill in when you drive your car in, and an easy to understand list of this donít to the car and the cost associated with it. Not to mention very courteous employees. All in all, an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend you to take your car to ABS to experience it for yourself.
