American Dog Training

We adopted a dog from the dog shelter and Tom with American Dog Training came to help us with the training of Sergeant, our Boxer mix. He was the change that we needed in Sergeant's life and he has dramatically changed him from a timid dog that would nip/bite out of being scared, to a well trained dog that listens and follows our instructions to a "T". He is no longer a liability in our family due to this training. He is a changed dog -- one that we really are happy with. Tom is a very personable person who will accommodate most situations; in our case, he came to our home and trained Sergeant weekly working around our schedule to be a great help. We now count Tom as one of our friends and recommend his work highly. Sometimes I wonder if we should have Tom train our children hoping for the same results.

chris and his team are awesome! our super sweet pit bull was haveing dog-aggression problems and wouldn't follow our commands. chris came out to our house weekly and the difference in our dog is amazing! i can now control her on a leash, she listens to commands and is eager to obey. the biggest part of the training experience was me learning how much I was doing wrong. it was much easier for the dog than me but we both passed with flying colors in the end!

Our experience with American Dog Training was awesome. Mickie was the trainer assigned to Crissy and Prissy, and we couldn't be more pleased. Crissy and Prissy, "Shelties" are more like children to us , than pets. The newest editions to our (4 Sheltie family). They are approx. 12 months of age, and together could be quite the challenge. So as we interviewed a number of obedience facilities, our biggest concern was the treatment of our puppies and the method used for training.
I knew that it was going to be a lot of work, but I had no idea the it would be one of the most challenging; yet rewarding experiences of my life. I can't say enough about Mickie. She was always professional, prompt, helpful, easy to talk to and most importantly "available" when I needed help "after hours".
We have been so impressed with Crissy & Prissy's RESULTS, that we have decided to continue our training to the "next level".
So in closing I would highly recommend American Dog Training for your pet training and also Mickie as their trainer.

I found ADT through a brochure I found at my veterinarians office. Chris came out and explained how they trained, cost, my responsibilities, etc. I thought it was a great idea to train in my home and in my neighborhood because this is where I would need to be in control of my 105 pound german shepard. I have trained other dogs at places where you walk around in a circle in a setting that I would never be in again. Training this way was great! I learned early that my dog is much easier to train than myself! Micki came out once a week for several months. My dog thought she was a great trainer and so do I. Any questions or problems I had, she always had the answer or a solution. We went on walks around my neighborhood to solve any problems I had encountered in the past or would encounter. Baron (my dog) is much happier on our walks and so am I! All my neighbors know and love Baron now that he doesn't jump on them anymore. And it is so fun to "show-off" all of his cool new skills! This is a great company that I will definitely use again! Just remember, if you dont work with your dog except for when the trainer is there, you won't be happy with any dog trainer.

I thought they would laugh in my face when I called about training my 8 month only Micro-Mini Schnauzer who was the "Alpha" in our home Six weeks later she has gone from terriorist to obedient sweetheart. Mickie is the best! If she could get me to do as well as Sassy we would really be in business! The cost is a small price to pay to have such a happy, smart puppy that minds through hand signals as well as voice commands. Good girl! Good job!
