Not dependable
I scheduled a pick up with the AKF. I told them what I had to pick up and they confirmed a date. I lugged everything out the night before the schedule and was surprised when I came home and all the stuff was there. I called and they said I had the date wrong. I told them I had an email verifying the date, they double checked and said it was their mistake and they would be out the next day. I came home the next day and the items were still there. I called and they promised they would pick them up that evening. Unfortunately it started to rain and I covered all the items with a plastic drop cloth. They came while I was out and didn't take everything - I'm assuming because it might have gotten wet.
I've used them before, but this experience has made me decide not to rely on them again. I now have to take the items somewhere myself since I was trying to clear out for guests coming this weekend and don't want this stuff in the garage.
They may do great work, but there are other more reliable organizations (Atlanta Furniture Bank) that pick up items.
