I called this locksmith from San Diego to re-key my home in Shreveport, La because the previous renter trashed the home, left and would not return the keys. I was, at first, just delighted with Mr. Stande who quickly agreed to perform this task for me. When I tried to give him a credit card number to pay for this - he refused stating he'd rather just bill me. I was so pleasantly surprised and remembered what it was like to do business with someone in the South. I provided him several ways to contact me, and the contact info of my mortgage holder there in Shreveport so he would be comfortable. He assured me he was. My mortgage person called me later stating that Mr. Stande was requesting she pay him for his services when he delivered the keys because a neighbor had told him "good luck getting paid!". This is quite ironic since the neighbor's son is who was renting the home previously and had refused to return the key and was the reason I was using Mr. Stande's services in the first place. I called Mr. Stande who suddenly was uncomfortable and said he "wanted to be paid right away because he was going to the trouble to take the two keys to my credit union". Again - he refused my credit card information. So - for three reasons, 1) discussing his client (me) with strangers; 2) lacking the integrity to tell me what he was happy to tell my credit union; 3) going back on his word - I won't be calling them again. There is still locksmith work to be done; but not by him.
