The actual facility is clean, well kept and the staff were definitely polite and well spoken. My problem is that they tried to charge me $1400 to clear my Check Engine Light due to a "broken ECU" (car computer) which would apparently cause me to fail an emissions test. Also they kept trying to tell me how "competitive" this quote was but when I called the dealer they quoted me only $90 more. Nonetheless, I called the shop and told them I would be back to pick up my car to go get a 2nd opinion. When I turned my car back on, I was surprised to see the check engine light had cleared and I ended up passing my emissions test a few days later! So what if I had gone through with the "repair" without checking first? That would have been $1400 down the drain! I am pretty sure all they had to do was reset my battery or ecu to get the CEL to turn off which is probably what they did. But of course they wouldn't have told me that. Two weeks and 400+ miles of driving later, my car is still running fine and the CEL has not come back on. It is clear that these people use high pressure sales tactics to prey on people who they think do not know any better.

I don't know if I will have enough room to write about all my complaints. This place has to be by far one of the worst organizations I have ever dealt with!! My first issue started when I was taking a road trip and needed air in one of my tires so I pulled up and asked how long the wait would be to "check" the tire preassure I nearly choked when the guy said I would have to wait all day until they finished 7 oil changes!!ummm seriously? I went to Kauffman tire and they checked and filled my tires in 5 minutes.I then waited over 3 1/2 hrs for an oil change that was with an appointment. Then they said well we check everything ummm ok that is why when I got in the car, my change oil warning light was on...oh, ok, whatever. Then I got another oil change & tire rotation and assumed that checking everything included the tire pressure NOPE, sure doesn't...The icing on the cake was yesterday when I took my husbands car for an oil change & tire rotation and I specifically asked them to check the pressure oh sure, that is included I get in the car, tire pressure light is still on so another 15 min later, they took care of that but the real kicker was when my son lifted the hood and the Aholes forgot to replace the air filter I mean seriously? Had my son not done that he would have drove around until the next oil change without an air filter. WORST place...DON'T use them!!!!

Again, here is another review collection that surprises me. Major repairs performed on all 3 of our cars, they price matched every time I took the time to investigate and found a better price elsewhere. The manager has promptly returned my calls every time I requested and they apply coupons to your bill w/o you having one. This past weekend, they called us and offered a FREE oil change on any vehicle of our choice to thank us for our loyalty. That's good business.

Sure, the do great prices on oil changes, and they are very close by. However, when you for an oil change, they will always find something that needs to be done. The real problem is that most of the time, these things will cost you more than the dealership price. They quoted both myself and a friend (both of us drive a Honda mini van) MORE than the dealership price for a 30,000 mile service check. Even when I told them multiple times they cost more, they would not even match the price. And, the transmission flush-it also was more than the dealership. So, make sure you call around before authorizing any work. They are very nice, but it can be a rip off.

This location is very close to my home, so we usually end up going there for oil changes, etc. and they usually try to talk you up a good $50 to $100 over the simple oil change. One time I got an oil change, they told me I needed my transmition fluid changed, so I asked for an estimate. They gave me an estimate for $165. It was too much at the time, so I waited a month, maybe two, and called them back. This time they told me $220!! When I mentioned the other estimate, I was told that they couldn't find the printed estimate from before, so they couldn't honor it. Determined that I could find a better price, I called three different dealerships (which are usually more) and they all quoted me between $75-$80!!!! I couldn't believe it! When I told the mechanic at the dealership the price I got at America's Service Station, he laughed and said, "Wow, usually we are the ones that get accused of ripping people off!!" They are so nice, so I felt bad about telling them the dealerships' quotes, but when they called back I just had to. And did they offer to match those quotes? No! I was just told, "Well have a good one" and hung up on! I am sure that I could find a better price on an oil change as well. $60 dollars for an oil change and tire rotation is just silly. Shop the price around before going here!
